Thank you for posting. Sounds like you had a brilliant time. Both The Beatles and Zep produced groundbreaking Lp's that have stood the test of time.

Sorted the Gig Pic I think this is the only photo of The Honeydrippers on stage !!! Back in the day you could`nt take cameras into gigs Probably the reason I only took just one . I was scared of the man . I guess Anyway ! Automatic Man - Automatic Man Supposed to be Prog ? But heck it was a nice album , very funky and some great little guitar rifts going on I will be playing this one again , for sure ! 269

Great image. How you managed that is anyone's guess. Looks like a great venue for a rock gig. Robert looks uber cool as well. In a parallel universe Zep did a cover of I want you (she's so heavy) and The Beatles did a cover of Rock and Roll (Zep track).

The Optimist - Anathema
Sitting in the chair that`s comfy and really fits me It`s Prog again I`ve just got through it and yes , it`s ok and it better be as I`ve just got a ticket for them in September ! It`s a concept , it`s Prog and it`s long So it`s not easy to call it just yet , but it seems a grower and no thoughts of skip run through my head Lookin forward to seeing this band for the first time .

Carousel Ballroom June 1968 - Fleetwood Mac
Ok folks I have gone and broke all the rules Live , Bootleg and .. Yeh broke the rules But as I`ve said I love The Mac And I got hold of this gem and my heavens and a dusty broom this album is absolutely brilliant For a bootleg and for being recorded in 68 it sounds like it was recorded last week ! Shows what a great musician Peter Green was and such a great band This maybe a live bootleg but it`s a 10 all the way Joyous album

'Situation Normal' by Snafu, worth it for that 70's synth solo in 'Playboy blues'.

Thanks again for the recons ! I`m on a major album listen today , so hold on to your heavy horses !
Done a few Sub Pop labels
The Postal Service - Give Up
They are (were) the Human League of the 21st century ! A indie synth pop all the way ! Very nice and easy listen , did start to flag at the end though It was a mini indie pop super group album and it is the one and only So I can say I`ve heard all their albums , unless they reform because they need the money
Jet Plane And Oxbow - Shearwater
Same again nice indie stuff , but this band and album seem to impress my Kite ears for sure Nice chill out album , great vocalist ,so get yer headphones on and sit back ! Stand out track Filaments , wonderful !
In A Safe Place - The Album Leaf
Yet again a nice chilly chill out album You may now have gathered I`m on Youtube and I`m just letting it roll onto the next album This came up and before I knew it another album went by Very nice again I know , not very in depth reviews ! Try and get off the Indie Sub Pop roundabout and try something a bit more demanding Gong and Snafu you say ?

Alright then Mr Kite, here's a suggestion for you whenever you get around to this again. Death - The Sound of Perseverance Death pretty much created the death metal genre, yet founder and mainman Chuck Schuldiner was never satisfied in standing still - each of the band's seven albums helped push the genre further and further to its maximum. 1995's Symbolic was already a genrepushing album, but the following one, The Sound of Perseverance (1998), really extended it as far as it could go. There's still heavy guitar and growling vocals, but said vocals are much higher-pitched than early Death and the songs are a lot more melodic than one would expect from a death metal band. The best example is the beautiful instrumental, Voice of the Soul, which I won't even discuss because it must be heard to be believed. This was the band's final album, as Chuck would pass away in 2001 of a brain tumor. I'd say that this is the greatest album of all time, so it'd be interesting to see someone else give it a listen and see what you think. Write this down.

Hello reader Yes , I know . But I`m getting back on the horse and I`m going to have a new approach to the Exercise This time I`m going to play a album and put down my thoughts right away instead of banking them and totally forgetting the vibe off the ...Album So yeh, I`m back going to have to extended the Blog to a 17/18 , a bit like a football season still getting to the landmark of 365 . So here we go ! Now listening to . Colors - Beck See ya in a bit . Well . This is , as I thought 3 songs in , this is a musical orgasm ! I confess as much I`m not a lover of "Dance music " this has you foot tappin and no mistake Love him or hate him , Beck is an outstanding musician and this album is maybe his best for well , his last album I just can`t wait to listen to this in the car and the headphones to really get the full mind boggling production ! Fave track ? This is one of many and I`ve only the album once ! 262 .
