The Impossible Dream - Alex Harvey and the Sensational Band Interesting fact It was recorded at Apple Studios . London Yeh, that`s about it Post Card - Mary HopkinThe kinda album that me old ma would have loved The 3 songs wrote by Donovan are the highlights , but the rest are just old standards that are not really using Mary`s voice in my humble Also she covers a George Martin and again , seems a waste If that bloke from Liverpool who produced it had listened to a few more Folk albums at that time he would have had Mary on a winner In my humble Canned Heat - Canned HeatI`m a big fan , so this was a joy for me A fantastic debut album and if you love your rock blues , this is a must for sure Rumblin and Tumblin is a great opener and gets you hooked for a fab 40 minutes Traffic - Traffic A good foot tapper of an album and is a nice background album to do the house work too Reminded of a Stephen Stills album , for some reason . 280 279 278 277

Traffic. So, Mrs A. wants to know if you're doing the housework. Well.... I do a bit now and again . Badmotorfinger - SoundgardenI never can give enough praise to the bands that saved us from the dross and embarrassing head bands and naff helicopter video shots of Slash of the 80`s Soundgarden and that other bunch from Seattle came to the rescue of Rock God bless them God bless Chris Cornell The album ? It`s their best and I never realised how much Cornell sounded like Glen Hughes Stand out track . Outshined ! Love it ! Yes I know they were formed in the 80`s Amadeus 276

So, Mr. Kite, that Traffic album reminded you of a Stephen Stills album?
Did you know this: When Crosby, Stills & Nash expanded to go on the road, in addition to the bassist and drummer they had found, they needed someone who could play the organ when Stills was playing lead guitar, but could also play lead guitar when Stills was playing the Hammond B-3 organ. Their first choice was Steve Winwood, of the recently split Traffic. Winwood would have been perfect. But he was already in Blind Faith. So CS&N settled for Neil Young, much to the delight of Atlantic Records executives, who saw CSN&Y as a way to sell all those unsold Buffalo Springfield albums.

Hey F.T. ! I did`nt think anyone cared Well as it so happens I have been listening to loads ! I always have Music playing on a daily basis Just hav`nt had chance to post them up So here we go ! Christine Perfect - Christine Perfect You may or may not know I love Fleetwood Mac The old and the new Except the period between Green leaving and Buckingham and Nicks joining very below par albums I`m afraid , but one blessing is Christine McVie ( Perfect ) Which brings us to her debut Solo It`s wonderful , and really shows that Chrissy had talent long before Rumours era Which brings me too In The Meantime - Christine McVie Once again a great album This one has a more " Fleetwood feel " Once this album she still has a great voice and the song writing has that Tango In The Night era even though it came out in 2004 I nice easy listening album and I`m all ready for her album she`s done with Buckingham Is This The Life We Really Want - Roger Waters It`s what you would expect from the man I`m on the third listen as I`m writing this so I`ve had time to let it sink in It`s brilliant ! 50 years of Music behind this man and he still has the edge Angry , passionate , political , and as he say`s if he had been God he would have done a better job I belief him Still got it Rog A brilliant album and I`ve only had it a week in 12 months time I think could be an all time fav . Truth Is A Beautiful Thing - London Grammer Remember Birdy ? Well, I was in a shop (Fopp) in town and this album was playing other the sound system and I thought " Oh ! Birdy and she`s got a band behind her " Got a few tracks down the line and then convinced myself that it`s not Birdy It was London Grammer ! And so I got it It`s a nice Indie Pop album and I really love it ! Again I`ve ended up listening to another female vocal band My Love Is Cool - Wolf Alice Guess what ?! Another female vocal band ! So far it`s really good A easy on the ear album once again a Indie pop/rock band with a 90`s feel If I Was - The Staves Wonderful 276 275 274 273 272 271

Aaah, that's great Mr. Kite. Really good to see that you've resumed your project. Good man. Mind you, I hope you're listening to every album all the way through without skipping tracks as you promised (well, not promised but you maintained!). I wouldn't want to catch you cheating! I have the Roger Waters album too and I have to agree with you - it's really good. I can hear shades of Floyd on a couple of tracks. The man's a genius - angst, angry and socially disturbed - but a genius nevertheless. Keep up the good work mate.

Thanks For All Your Support ! Yes F.T. I do listen to every track and I must confess on some albums its been very tough ! Thanks for all the Recons Pothos ! I will try to get through as many as I can , I guess with over 200 to go I will sooner or later be trying some albums that at one time I would`nt have ever listened too A good thing , or a bad thing , time will tell . In Spades - Afghan Whigs A newish album that seems to be in every Music shop window and music mags Just over 30 minutes , so it`s a easy to take in album , which as I guess with 99% of albums would get better with more plays A alternative rock album and with it`s short songs are very catchy on the ear Stand Out Track Arabian Heights 270

Hey Mr Kite. Just a quick question. Have you ever seen the Honeydrippers? It so happens ! It was May 1981 Roberts first outing since the end of Zep , which I missed out on at Knebworth 1979 which my mates went too I did`nt go as I was at the time courting and it would have not gone down well with the girlfriend and I`d have to fork out for 2 tickets to go as she was a Zep fan , and she`d just left school . Anyways ! We went nice and early , mate brought along his Knebworth program and his In Through The Outdoor album For which I gave him stick as the chances of getting them signed was , no fecking chance ! I took my camera We got there and lo and behold we were at the back of the cue Then a car pulls up , and this fella gets out with short golden locks and just looked like Robert Plant ! Then he puts his coat on as this time shaking like a leaf a took a photo For it was the Rock God himself ! We are all a bit shocked He walks right passed me and I says Can I have a photo Rob ? For he stops, smiles and I took another photo ( the one above ) My mate then asks him if he could sign his Program and album He says follow me lads ( or something in that vain ) and we go inside Manchester Poly for which he sits on a chair and signs my mates feckin album and program The weekend before we had gone to Blackpool and ended up in a Rock Disco and I so happen to have a flyer still in my pocket So he signs it to John Rob Plant . I even managed 1 photo at the actual Gig I will post the rest of the lovely pics tomorrow as I have to find the buggers ( and it`s Film time ! ) I even still have my ticket

I always suspected Plant was a top bloke. 1981 must have been really early for that line up. Looking forward to reading more and am fascinated as to what the setlist was like that night. .
