I did`nt say I did`nt like it did I ? As I say I really like Wild Life , I always have , all the tracks , even I Am Your Singer Tomorrow is just I guess a love letter to Linda and there is`nt that much you can say about it . The title track Wild Life , now that is a tune and of course must be one the few songs that was having a pop at the powers that be destroying rain forests and treating Animals as a commodity . What are your thoughts on Wild Life then , love it ? hate it ? ( and anyone else who has a thought on the album )

Like the Beatles UK LPs, there are soo many singles or unreleased songs that didn’t make it to any Macca LPs, it’s crazy!
Another Day/Oh Woman Oh Why Give Ireland Back To The Irish Mary Had A Little Lamb/Little Woman Love Hi Hi Hi/C Moon Thank You Darling Mama’s Little Girl Live And Let Die/I Lie Around Country Dreamer Juniors Farm/Sally G Mull Of Kintyre/Girl School Wonderfull Christmas Time
Just to name a few..........and I mean a few as there are so many others from his Fireman group and more.
I guess this is the reason I like Macca more than Lennon, but I do love Lennon.

That`s why I think it`s well worth forking out on the new Remasters of McCartney`s as they are full to the brim of unreleased stuff .
I`m a bit gutted they have skipped Red Rose and Wild Life on the latest addictions Which was Tug Of War and Pipes Of Peace .

I like Wildlife a lot. I prefer it just over Ram, although Back Seat Of My Car is a classic. Don't know why he doesn't do that live now.

And a little tribute to 'Little Wing' Jimmy McCulloch (1953-1979). Lead guitarist for Wings.

I can “almost" listen to the Wings as much as the Beatles! Not a big fan of Macca in the 80s & 90s, just a few songs here and there! I even like Linda’s background singing! I would agree with you on both your second counts Bongo. Linda's harmonies where very effective in Wings and added to their distinctive sound. Ok, so she is no lead vocalist but that's hardly important when Mr McCartney is in your band. I think she has been unfairly ridiculed over the years. There use to be a TV programme in the UK called The Word. To prove she 'couldn't sing' they isolated one of her live backing vocals to Hey Jude and demonstrated this as evidence. Complete dickheads who totally missed the point of what she was doing. Mind you, The Word preferred bands like L7 with the lead singer pulling a tampon out of her you know what live on stage!!

But yes it's easy to take a tape of one performance out of thousands and use that to base your argument on. So for 9 shows she was great but on the tenth show she was off. Does that make her untalented?

If you have three lead singers singing together in harmony then it mostly doesn't work - The Beatles where an exception. You need someone singing almost blandly for harmonies to work properly. I think George had a great ability in fitting in with Lennon and McCartney harmonically in an almost monotone way but was distinctive lead singer to boot. Linda was again a monotone singer but with the voices together it worked very well.

I absolutely love Ram and feel it's probably his best (Wing or no Wings) LP. It still has Linda singing. I've really tried giving Wild Life love, but it just doesn't do it for me.
Perhaps it's time for another listen!

I remember that attack on Linda I think it was the Knebworth show 1990 . I was there ! The near hundred thousand people did`nt think it was a bad tune that night Plus it was very bleeding windy that night , in fact they took down the round screen that was for the Floyd set . Who remembers the Wings off shoot Suzy and the Red Stripes ? Geoff Britton

Why did you take down the picture of Geoff playing the drums in his karate kit? It was a bit large ! I will try and make it a bit smaller , a bit easier on the eye . Here is another one of Geoff with Jimmy Gee that`s a big one as well !
