i've a once soggy version of the book (long story involving a cool uncle who worked in a record shop).
but the same cool uncle gave me a copy he'd made (of a bootleg he'd got) which was the Get Back book as an animated slideshow with a couple of LIB tracks as a sound track. It was well producerd and showed the sort of tricks that Apple have missed on reissue projects (or perhaps they'll have thier take of this on the eternally rumoured LIB DVD release)

Mr.K (or anyone else) what was really the reason for the breakup? I know I've read about her finding Paul in bed with someone and Paul said he staged it all so he could rid of her, but what really was the reason? Why did he want to get rid of her?
(Maybe she ate crackers in bed. lol)

(Maybe she ate crackers in bed. lol) Jane had her own very successful career as an actress. Stage, film and television. This apparently caused problems between them because Paul wanted her to give it all up, especially after they where married, to look after him and raise a family. There was no way Paul was going to give up his career. It wouldn't surprise me if Paul did set it all up as he knew Jane would never give up her acting. I think it was Francie Swartz whom Jane caught in flagrante with Paul. They had apparently been having an affair for a short while. |
