Hello folks! I am going to get a matching tattoo with my dad with the a portion of lyrics from In My Life. Now I've seen John Lennon's handwriting of "In my life I'll love you more" but all the lyrics you can find online say "In my life I love you more" and it's pretty hard to discern between I and I'll when I've listened to the song over and over again. And I know a lot of what is written down is sometimes changed and not always recorded. So can anyone tell me if the lyrics are "I" or "I'll"? This is super important considering I'm tattooing this to my body. Thank you!!!
- Caitlin

The thread with the above subject was posted by caitlints on the 'Ask The Experts' board' See HERE. Unfortunately, only those board members who are 'experts' have administrative rights and authority to reply. Anyway, this is for the attention of Caitlin. I assume what you have discovered regarding the lyrics are below and written in manuscript by John? Unfortunately, the man himself is no longer with us so if I were you, I would go along with "In My Life I'LL Love You More". These are the original lyrics that John wrote and, although (and I've listened too) the lyrics he actually sings are not discernible, I think it would be a nice touch if your tattoo was true to the lyrics that were meant to be sung by John. Hope this helps.

Personally, I have always thought it was "I" but see what everyone else thinks first

I merged your post with this thread (see here for the reasoning! beatleforum.proboards.com/thread/6171/ask-experts-board ) - funnily enough it seems not only did we have the same idea it was was prompted by the same post!!
