at the end of the day, there are going to be some people that never get in to the Beatles, whether it be through ingrained musical prejudices and tastes. For those on an altogether better planet, its seems most people got into them mid-teens

I am 18 and I have been listening to the Beatles since I was 13. I think a lot of their music, especially their eary stuff, appeals to younger people because they deal with relationships, which is something most people my age can relate to.

I'm 20 and love the beatles. I work in a store that sells Beatles stuff too and there is never any shortage of people 15 and under coming in to buy beatles t-shirts... I think its like a gateway thing. Kids get into the Beatles, then they discover the Doors and it just snowballs from there.

Well.. I think I can beat most of you. I'm 15, and I've been listening to them since I was just 8 or 9... can't really remember. My mum and her entire family LOVE The Beatles more than I do! I still can't understand what am I doing in this forum if they are not here as well..

unfornately i can't beat just alive. i've been listening since i was 11. you're very lucky, because you're family like the beatles. my mum doesn't mind them, but she doesn't live with me anymore because of a divorce, and the side of my family i'm living with is brilliant, they look after me and i love them dearly, but well, they don't really respect the fact i like the beatles alot. it's 'why do you like the beatles so much?' rather then 'it's good you're into good music rather than some of the trash that's on the chart today'
Anyway,Younger people do like the beatles. not nessarily the whole population but alot do. i for one. and i discovered the beatles on my own. hopefully when the remasterered cds,The Beatles: Rock Band and hopefully songs on itunes come out,i hope alot more teen and 10-12 year old get into the beatles. i think alot of teens would like the songs if they gave them a chance, but they listen to what their friend listen to. rapping and that rubbish. should they think for themselves, and listen to something that may be over 40 years old,but little absolutely stunning,by the beatles, they would probably enjoy it. i can see some teens listening to Sgt. Pepper's and Come Together.

I must admit I discovered them myself - or at least I think I might have done but I've no idea *when*, sometime youngish...er I mean youngerish than I am now. My young nieces and nephews loved listening to them the other day - maybe I'll get that Rock Band if it comes out on the right console...I reckon that'll do a lot to attract more in.
As for age, well I listen to Fred Astaire so I can't really comment...

Young people most certainly do love the Beatles. I think that this past year has really shown what an influence they can have even after 40 years. Beatles RockBand and the release of digitally updated tracks are helping to bring a whole new generation to their music and iconic status. I've been working on a a contest that really shows the wide spread of Beatles fans. To enter, Beatles fans have to write a song containing only Beatles titles and the results have really shown that Beatlemania lives on. As a fan, I know that the prize is a very cool way to celebrate this important year for the Beatles: a trip to Las Vegas to stay at The Mirage and amazing tickets to LOVE. The website is www.thebeatlesinvasion.com. Let me know if you quys have any questions.

I'm 17 years old. I'm OBSESSED with the Beatles. Whatever Beatlemaniacs felt in the 60s is what I (and many others in my college) feel now.
I was never introduced to them. I found them myself after I had to watch "A Hard Days Night" in film studies. I fell in love with them, bought their music, was blown away and have never looked back.
Not a day goes by where I don't listen to their music, talk about them or think about them. My best friend is also the same, and we'll be seeing Paul together at the 02 in December. My other best friend is in love with thier music (not especially fussed over them personally).
In terms of other people my age, almost EVERYBODY respects them. I've never met a person who hasn't heard of them/dislikes them. Most people have them on thier ipod. Nobody denies the fact that they changed the course of popular music.
If you want to get a teenager to fall for the Fab Four, get them to watch "A Hard Days Night". I've met someone who wasn't interested in hearing their music simply because it's not in the charts today. But after seeing a few scenes of that film she was taken over. They're irrisistable.
Their music means so much to me now. It changed my life and my whole perception. Listening to it every day has kept me on a continual high for the last couple of years, and I mean that sincerely.

Do younger people like the Beatles? Abso-freaking-lutely. I'm 19. I am a freshman at a university in Kansas, US. I work part-time, I go to class, I am a typical college student. And I am absolutely, completely, and madly in love with the Beatles. I fell for all for of them so hard that I'm not sure I know what to do. I can't believe I spent so many years of my life without them. But I am grateful they are a part of my life now, and I have to agree with hihopes1964 that our favorite lads from Liverpool have changed my life. I can't explain my love for the Beatles. I just know what I feel when I listen to their music. I know what I feel when I watch them goofing around in "Help!", my absolute favorite of the Beatles movies. I know what I feel when, by chance, a Beatles song comes on my local classic rock station while I'm driving to class. And what I feel is love. However, I, unlike hihopes, have met several people who just plain do not like the Beatles or their music. They respect them, they do not try to tell me they weren't influential. But they don't like them. This is inconceivable to me, but for now, I am happy just to love the Beatles for who they are and what they have produced (i.e., the greatest music in the history of recording). I'll get to converting people later.

I'll get to converting people later. Same here! It confuses me. I've converted a few people so far, its fun (and not that hard to do! ) Absolutely younger generations still love the Beatles. I myself am 17 and a complete die-hard fan for 3 years now, and I was introduced to them when I was about 8. My best friend is also a super fan, and there are a few other people I know of that love them as much as we do. Another friend and I painted a 4 x 4 mural of them and now its hanging in our highschool, and eveyone I've come across has loved it, (Theres actually two Beatles murals now). Also, my 9-year old sister is a huge fan now too. She has every Beatles album on her iPod, multiple pictures of them plastering her walls, has memorized every movie, and seen Paul live, all before her 10th. The Beatles are timeless.

I'm only 13, and I've loved them for years, on my own. They are, without a doubt, the best band ever, they deserve praise.
