AHHHHHH....I'm so annoyed with myself for forgetting about Bladerunner at the Cinema, that's pished me off now, and to make matters worse I was at a bit of a loose end yesterday evening too, ended up watching Wes Anderson's 'The Royal Tenenbaums'....again!

Don`t you love Sci Fi ! I do . I was weaned on Sci-Fi! My DaD would take me either to the local theater or the drive-in to see the latest creepy movie! My MoM never went, she thought they were silly. I remember sh*ting my pants watching 'Tarantula' and my friend Sonny and I went to see 'Them' and the whole series of giant bugs and mammals... praying mantis, lobsters, etc. It was a GREAT time to live in!

I just watched 'Transcendence' with Johnny Depp and Morgan Freeman. Thought it was pretty good. Anyone else see it?

It got one hell of a kicking over here except from Mark Kermode the film critic that really supported it and got called all sorts of negative things for doing so.

I saw it at the Cinema and I thought it was terrible . I love Johnny Depp and I love Sci Fi almost all Sci Fi ! But not this one . The Film Critic in the Sunday Mail ripped predestination to shreds at the weekend ! What more did he want for a Sci Fi film ? All about opinions I suppose .

I didn't think it was the greatest, but as a storyline of someone dying and coming back as a computer I thought was good. The rest of the story seemed a little too far out there I agree. lol

Good movie Mr.K (Elysium) enjoyed it! They must have spent oodles of money on special effects! Glad you enjoyed it Rocky . How about Jodie with the outrageous French accent ! I was chuffed to bits that Jodie was in it as I`m a big fan of hers . Have I mentioned how much I love Contact ? ( I think I have ) You are really on full throttle on Sci Fi films Rocky which is brilliant as I can go on for days about the love of Sci Fi . Here`s another you may like Snowpiercer Tilda Swinton is another one with an outrageous accent ! . hang on it`s a Lancashire accent ! She is fantastic

Yes I already seen that one! I like how the closer you got to the engine the uppity you were. lol
And I loved Jodie in the Elyisum movie. Especially when she told the President to go F himself (in so many words.) lol She looked like she really enjoyed playing that part.

That which holds the image of an angel becomes itself an angel. Don't blink! Don't even blink! Blink and you're dead! Don't look away, don't turn your head and don't blink.

Carey Mulligan was brilliant in Blink. I also loved the Van Gough episode and The Where's my mummy ones from season 1.

'are you my mummy?'
I thought it was wonderful, just a thrown in joke in one of the David Tennant episodes when he puts a gas mask on and says that. 'are you my mummy?' but the brigadier was too cranky to get involved.

There have been some glorious moments. John Hurt and Paul McGann also did you see Adventures in Space and Time. A drama showing how the show came to air all those years ago.
I think the moment when the Dr and Amy take Van Gough to see his paintings hanging in Paris while the curator not realising he is there behind him explains why Van Gough's art was so profound is genuinely moving.
The Dr's Wife is also worth a mentioning and Neil Gaiman did a fantastic script. Notable for a cracking Michael Sheen appearance as well. Amy's Choice scares the hell out of me.
