Eh up Rocky ! Are you a bit of a secret Sci Fi fan ? Yes . I have seen Interstella at the cinema and as BMP74 pointed out I would like to see it again to get a good grip of how it rates in the wonderful Sci Fi Films .( Now out on Blue Ray !) But first time around I loved it. Very much of a "character" film than lots of a"action" film . Can`t really go into detail as I hate spoilers for people who hav`nt seen it yet , but I would say that if you like Sunshine , 2001, 2010 , Inception this is a film for you . Under The Skin . Yep seen this one . Well , what can you say about this Some people have said it`s the best Sci Fi since 2001 , but some say it`s the worst ! Me . I enjoyed it . I can`t get over how the Director convinced Scarlett Johansson to do it . " I want you to get in a Van drive round Scotland and pick up strangers and take off your cloths alot ." The opening scene is that of Kubric quality and then apparently some of the scenes were unscripted .? Very much of a Man Who Fell To Earth kinda film for me and if you like that , try this . So Rocky How did you go on with the very raw Scottish accents ? Even I struggled with some of the scenes .

Yes a secret. shhh.... lol And yes, I had a rather ruff time figuring out what they were saying, but Scarlett was there so who cares. (I was listening with my eyes. ha-ha) I just watched 'Coherence'. Big Chill meets sci-fi. Not too bad, not that great either. But I did like the theory of it all.

I liked the look of the 'Under The Skin' trailer, think that's next on my list. Watched 'Edge of Tomorrow' earlier today and thought it was a brilliant film. I've got to say that Tom Cruise is a great actor who's made some fantastic Sci-fi movies, a genre he seems to enjoy.

While I'm in a Sci-fi mood, does anyone remember this Tv show from the BBC, it was called 'The Boy from Space' and they used to show it in schools in the 70s and early 80s. Peep Peep (the space boy) used to frighten the life out of me back in the day but now I think he looks like a love child between Mork and Justin Hayward...

I missed that one . Maybe I was a bit too old for that when it was on .
This is still one that brings tears to my eyes when I watch it ( On You Tube )
Once again it was on when I was being drawn into the wonderful world of Sci Fi ( I was about 10 ish )
Those Aliens scared the hell out of me !

I'm not a big Tom fan, but I thought it was pretty good. I also watched 'The Signal'. The reason I watched this one is because the actress that is in the 'Bates Motel', Olivia Cooke, was in it. Not too bad a movie.

Imagine owning that , bit of a conversation piece or what ! It`s from the Fight The Future film Which I thought was brilliant . Anyone else thought The next Movie I Want To Beleive was a let down ?

I guess my post will be a Spoiler Alert: So don't read it if you haven't seen the movie.
But I enjoyed the movie until the FBI girl got killed. It seemed after that the movie died for me too. Seemed like they were rushing to a conclusion after that. And I thought Scully looked really good with long hair.

I have just booked my seat for Bladerunner at the Cinema for tomorrow night No I hav`nt seen Leviathan and if it`s anything like the last Godzilla I don`t want too. I think they could really come up with something original if they are going to spend a hell of money on big monster movies . There must be hundreds of great Sci Fi stories that they could do . Who would ever of thought Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep turn into one of the best Sci Films ever made ? Have I mentioned I`m going to see Bladerunner tomorrow night ?! Anyway . One of the other best Sci Fi films ever made in my humble is the Abyss . Absolutely brilliant and I can`t big up this film enough and it still would`nt be enough...Big up ! So why Cameron is it not on Blue Ray (UK) !!!!!!

That was a good one Mr.K! Here's my favorite of all-time! Loved the eerie music too. I couldn't believe they waited 30 years to make that sequel in 2011 that sucked! And when they were making all those other movie sequels in those between years. But who knows what the bigwigs are thinking in Hollywood?

I bloody love that Movie Rocky Also love the original , it`s also another one that scared the pants off me back in the day . I reckon this one made people like Carpenter want to be film makers . But Hang on Rocky ! I disagree with you on the remake . I really enjoyed it , and if you watch them back to back you get a good few hours of Sci Fi horror They kinda did a Pre Thing/remake and you get to find out what hell happened to those Norwegians ! And of course it`s got Mary Elizabeth winstead in it . Bonus Don`t you love Sci Fi ! I do . Loved watching Bladerunner on the big screen last night . It is really the only way to appreciate Scott`s vision . And ! Did you know we are only 4 years away from the time Bladerunner was set ! Blimey It seemed a life time away back in the early 80`s .
