Of course , The Beatles are not just for Christmas. They are releasing The Beatles Christmas records that were only given to fan club members in flexi disc form . I'm doubtful whether i'll buy this product as although interesting and i've heard a few before i reckon i'd play them once and probably forget about them . Also they are releasing yet another deluxe version of Sgt Pepper, having bought recently the super deluxe vinyl edition i can't see the point in adding this either. I get the impression it's what i already got with the vinyl and this is the Vinyl on it's own whereas the super deluxe version you got also the cds , the book and the dvd of the making of.
I love these Beatles Christmas fan club records. From 1966 they got absolutely hilarious with goon-like sketches.
Podgy the bear and Jasper were huddled around the unlit fire in the centre of the room. "There are no more matches left, Podgy," said Jasper. "Then buy some, Jasper, old friend," said Podgy. "Make a list and afterwards we'll go to the shop and buy matches and (*buy?) candles and buns." "There's no more paper to write on, Podgy" "No need to worry, Jasper. You keep saying to yourself 'matches' and I'll keep saying 'candles' until we reach the shop. Then we won't need to write it down. We'll remember." "Who'll remember the buns, Podgy?" "We both will, Jasper ... Matches," "Candles." "Matches." "Candles." "Matches." "Candles." "Matches." "Candles." "Matches." "Candles."
one of my subscribed youtube channels has uploaded the unpackaging of this rather splendid box set that seems to be sold out everywhere. I haven't for once purchased this new release but now i'm envious of those who have.
