Back in 1982 or 83 i can't remember i visited Abbey Road Studios, something that will live with me the rest of my days. To hear Love Me Do coming out of those studio speakers was unreal. We heard many outtakes also.
Did anyone else visit Studio Two back then, if you did i would love to hear from you.

As i said before, I could accept his passing as he was 90/91 and had a good innings as they say, however coming from the studio on a loop they were playing Beatles songs which got me choked up, it was very emotional. I popped down again to Abbey Road on Peppers anniversary Thursday 1st June . Unfortunately i still have an antiwue/vintage phone that has no camera part. I aked someone to take my picture with me holding the Benefit of Mr Kite poster you get with the super deluxe package. I asked the chap to post it on my facebook but it hasn't appeared. I'll get my mate to take a picture of me next time and hopefully he knows how to post pictures on facebook.

Never been there. It would be a great place to visit.
The City of London should close off part of Abbey Road and charge tourists to have their picture made crossing the street. For a fee you can have a photographer employed by the city to take the picture, download it to a computer, and either print it out or send it in an email to you. Or both. Depending on how much you want to spend on the London enterprise fund. It could make some tourism pounds for the city.

Memories are flooding back.
They i think started with an early recording of Sir Edward Elgar's Pomp And Circumstance, then all of a sudden Helen Shapiro's " Walking Back To Happiness" took over and wow, the sound was out of this world. This was all coming from the original master tapes.

I actually Met George Martin at Abbey Road Studios back in 2010 When Paul McCartney played the Hard Rock Calling concert in Hyde Park London I bought this special Platinum package for myself and the little lady which included a Lunch inside Studio 2 at Abbey Road followed by a BBQ at a fenced off area in Hyde Park and then a special grand stand at the Paul McCartney concert. Sir George attended Abbey Road and the concert in the park. It was a day to remember

Some Beatles fans are funny buggers two hilarious moments for me anyway was on this same day involved two middle aged women
1 of them had George Harrison hat and shirt and all she talked about was George. She even walked around trying to talk like him and at first i thought she was taking the piss but she wasn't. I didn't have the heart to tell her she sounded more like the George cartoon character than the real one.
The other was in the control room in studio 2. She was sitting in front of the control panel dressed in slightly looking hippie clothes. Had her arms outstretched across all the sliders and made the comment that she could feel the vibes coming from it. Again I didn't have the heart to tell her either that this was a new digital panel with about 60 channels on it that was probably a year or two old
LMAO

Back in the 80's I was in a band that made a charity single for our Hospital scanner appeal. The mastering of the single was done at Abbey road studios and a couple of us went along to give the OK before they cut the metal master. Unfortunately I did not see the rest of the studios but the mastering room was quite a memorable occasion, especially when you think what other masters were done in that room.

Studio 2 and 3 are downstairs and on the walls of the stairway is quite a few great Beatles photos from back in the day but there is signs saying no pictures But once inside studio 2 we had the full run of the place we could check out the piano's walk up the stairs and into the control room and take all the shots we wanted.

It was hideously expensive, almost 1000 pounds each but I think it was worth it. too much history in that place for a Beatles fan to miss out on. Btw I have been in there a second time when Ken Scott and Brian Kehew did that Sounds of Abbey Road series. Not easy being in London at the right time for this stuff when I live in Australia.

So they are quite strict on taking pictures inside, what a shame, although to be honest from tv programmes and photos in books etc it the studios look quite sparse, however , just to walk in their footsteps would give me so much pleasure.
