I'm sure it'll be a good movie, hey it's the Beatles! And Ron Howard is a good director/producer. Like said before by others, hopefully it will have new footage, for most of the movie, that we haven't seen before.

Good review by Mark Kermode, thanks for the link Pothos. I'm really looking forward to the movie, and Kermode's advice on seeing it at a cinema with a really good sound system makes sense.

When I heard the review it had never crossed my mind how fantastic their humour was in press conferences. To have comedians praise their attributes is a rather fantastic accolade.

Another great interview. Paul and Ringo really come alive when together. For those who don't know him, the interviewer, John Bishop, is a really funny Liverpool comedian.

I sat front row centre to watch Eight Days a Week at the Cinema to maximise my enjoyment. I teared up almost immediately. The pleasing thing was seeing some stuff i'd not seen before. It's a wonderful film and i'd like to go again with a like minded Beatles fan, not a part-time supporter if you get my drift. There's is also a great Beatles bonus after the main film.

I didn't expect to see much I haven't already seen already, but it was an enjoyable experience. Won't be buying the Blu ray, especially considering they wont include the Shea concert on it!

Yesterday with my brother we went to see Eight Days a Week before the cinemas stop showing this. This was the second time for me. My brother is not obsessed with the band like i am but thought the film was brilliant so he wants to take a friend to this if he can find a cinema still showing this locally. I could only find one cinema in London showing an afternoon performance. The Everyman Cinema at Kings Cross, not easy to find and it's the smallest cinema i've ever been to, no bigger than a rich persons flat. I think it had about 50 seats , large comfortable sofa style seats. My brother also remarked and how tight the playing was by the Beatles , especially when competing with the hysterical screaming from the fans.

That was my thought too. Also, how happy they looked, especially during that first US trip. The movie reminded me just how massive Beatlemania was. It was summed up for me by their visit to Adelaide, with huge crowds lining every foot of the nine mile route from the airport to the city. All in all, a great movie, and the eventual DVD, with extras, should be worth getting.

Just bought the deluxe 2 disc version of Eight Days A Week, i'm a sucker for extras, if they are half as good as the extras on The Beatles First Trip to the US I'll be delighted. Have you watched The Beatles First trip to the US yet? Amazing isn't it.

I got the Blue Ray off Santa Watched it X Mas day afternoon . I was expecting as it says on the tin The Touring Years
What I got was a Beatle Documentary with snips of unseen Beatle footage . Which if they stuck them together you would have about 6 mins of stuff Where were the Concert shows ? Apart from that it was OK If you had never seen the Anthology or even a Beatle Doc I guess it would be marvelous
The second disc Now after not getting the "Touring Years " concerts and the works I expected at least the whole Rooftop concert As they put Don`t Let Me Down on Youtube and also at the end of the film . Nope . just , a few of songs from Manchester , Blackpool , NME .. Little doc`s of the Music , Liverpool etc . Subtitles for Alan Williams ? I guess I wanted the stars and got the moon As for Ron Howard as Director ? Don`t let him anywhere near another Beatle project

(AKA LR) I`ve had the US Visit for a few years now . It is indeed a great documentary The extras are OK I just hav`nt got my head round why the film was billed as "The Touring Years" Hoping for lots of footage of Shea and other stuff that has`nt been remastered and all that . I think it`s about time that Apple pulled their finger out and "Blue Rayed" Anthology and extended that with more unseen concerts including the Roof Top . Now that would be one I would buy ASAP And get Mark Lewisohn on board for he is the man .
