I've just listened to this whole programme, very entertaining. The Interview with Hunter Davies begins around 1 hour and 32 mins. Worth hearing the whole show though , you pick up some interesting music trivia, for the interview itself Hunter Davies says Liverpool were not too happy the Beatles moved to London, thinking Liverpool is not good enough for them ,he hinted that this maybe why they quickly closed down the cavern , only later did they realise what The Beatles were to the Liverpool , there's a huge industry living off their backs of them now, probably all the tourist money is because of the Beatles.

6 Music always has Beatles tracks on the station and it is wonderful to hear how contemporary and fresh they still sound again new bands.
I can't answer the other points.

even at the time Hunter Davies thought The Beatles time would pass before another artist took their place but no-one did. He now believes that the Beatles have achieved the status of what Shakespeare has achieved through literature. I agree

They changed how the music business operated (to be fair this is with Epstein) Culturally significant as well. The way music was created, played, recorded, sold, and toured all changed with them.
