That was very sad, leaving a widow and 7 children.
My grandfather's younger brother was killed in France on the very last day of WWI, or the Great War, as it was then known, before being called The World War. My great-uncle stood up to light a cigarette and the enemy killed him.
So George was also part Irish. I knew John and Paul were of Irish descent, but didn't know about the other two.
