I`m not very keen on London . Here`s why. 1. It`s full of smoke 2. Eastenders . 3. They eat eels 4. They talk funny 5. They invented Royalty 6. They swear alot . 7. Politictians live there 8. Radio One is there 9. It`s very exspensive 10 . They don`t let people who just happen to just make the last train to Manchester after a Floyd gig , on the train as they had mistakenly booked for the next day as they did`nt really think they would make that said last train . And were very willing to pay extra for that last train which was not even full . They swear in London??? I thought Oasis were from Manchester.

Yeah going back to work after Beatle week sucks, having withdrawal symptoms already, need another Beatle fix soon! Ps I'd be up for a meet out of Beatle week, London or Manc fine by me! There's always St. Helens! Yes...there's always St helens, and for those who've never been here it's the type of place you'd see on Scooby Doo!, therefore I think it's off limits for the next meet up.

Hi Sheepdog. I bet the dogs weren't pissing you off! Yes, we need to get this interim meet up sorted. It's very nice of you to offer your brothers place for all forum members to stay at but we couldn't possibly!

The Beatles played the Plaza Ballroom in 1962. Does the place still exist? Yeah Simon the Beatles played there on 5 occassions in all, 4 times with Pete Best and once with Ringo, despite this amount of appearances I haven't seen a single picture from any of the shows (not for the want of trying). The building still exists and looks very much the same as it did back then, it's now split into a number of businesses having been in its previous incarnations a Ballroom, Various Nightclubs, a Pub, and a computor accessories shop. Still, I think we're lucky it remains standing as a lot of their early venues have been knocked down as the recently demolished 'Memorial Hall' in Northwich will stand testament to!

I always have sort of jet lag after Beatle Week, so I've still been awake at 3 or 4 am every night since I got back - so next week... well, from tomorrow onwards, is gonna be the real killer! So when is everyone looking to do this - have any dates in mind? AL

It's a fair distance outside of the city centre. Far enough outside to be excluded from London weighting but probably close enough for the congestion charge!

I'm pleased you enjoyed Liverpool but I bet you wished you could have stayed longer. Glad you enjoyed your vodka & cokes too! Have you given any more thought of naming your Dog Grooming Salon with a Beatles influence? Perhaps you can throw it open to all Forum members? I think 'Day Clipper' and 'Billy Shears' sounded OK at the time but I'm sure there are more apt suggestions? We'll forget about the one based on the Lennon compilation album! (Sorry ). Good to have you around.
