Hi, Just thought I'd post my preview of the annual Beatles auction so you all can see the top lots: Beatles auction previewNot sure about that door, obviously its a piece of Paul's history, but I don't really see the appeal in owning it. Joe

well, the door for where they cut thier first record sold for a good price (off the top of me head i can't remember) and John Lennon's toilet sold for £9,500 (about £11,000 by the time the fees were all added on there). So why not Paul's front door, the door where they would have all stood in front of so may times. Lennon & McCartney would have passed it before writing all the those great early songs in Paul's living room.
BTW why no mention of John's tie? (that's the lot i'm most looking forward to) or the two VERY rare concert tickets? did you just read the Echo coverage or have you bothered with the auction catalogue that's been online for about a month?
