hi everyone! could you help me with this?
here's the thing: i'm going to spend 2 weeks in Germany in July and i'm probably going to stay for a day or two in Hamburg, so i thought there must be historical beatle-related places where i can visit, but i don't know if they are still there to this day. Has anyone been to Hamburg lately to give me any tips of where to visit? thanks in advance =)

I was thinking of going in the summer. It's a lot closer than Liverpool.

It's maybe my favorite city in Europe. It's not huge, so you can see most of it easily. St. Pauli is the rock and roll and red-light district. Tons of bands play there every week, and there's a lot of good restaurants there, plus TShirt and souvenir shops all over.
The "nicer" side of town is amazing - quite the opposite. Beautiful hotels, one of the best city-lakes in Europe. Be sure to take a boat trip (about 1 hour) around the lake. I saw so much I liked that we hiked around the lake later on - about 2+hours walk.
There is a BIG guitar/music store in town kinda between StPauli and downtown. It's a MASSIVE concrete building, impressive just to see. But it was originally a bank for the Nazi's, and you can still see machine gun turrets on top. It was so big (13 foot thick walls) that they literally could not demolish it!
