I am trying to distinguish the real from the fake. I have three questions.
1. Did the original have a gripper ring around the label?
2. Also, what is etched in the run off wax on the "A" side on originals.
3. Do the originals have anything etched in the blank "B" side run off wax?
Thanks

I've not seen this before - if it's not a bootleg, it may be a promo released to radio stations to promote the film. But having looked at pics of the label, it does look like a bootleg - is this the one? A lot of sites say the record is just one-sided too.

White label promo issue only. One sided record issued to fan club members in 1970. There are two counterfeits. One is on clear vinyl. The second is on black vinyl. The original can be distinguished from the counterfeit by a target shaped symbol in the trail off area of the record. This symbol is stamped on the original and is hand etched on the counterfeit. If it was a fan club single I've never even heard of this!

There was also a rare United Artists ULP 42370 White Label radio spots record. Which was used to promote the film. it was a 33 1/3 rpm single with a small hole and contained one 60 second, one 30 second, and one 10 second spot.
