By the way, just watching Pete Townshends Quadrophenia as performed by the Philharmonic orchestra. Townshend performs very briefly. Billy Idol is just embarraingly bad. Phil Daniels is quite good. Alfie Boe takes on the vast majority of the lead vocals. As brilliant an opera singer he is it just doesn't quite work without a full on rock singer let alone Roger Daltrey. Have you seen it?

I found it on NOW TV which has a Sky Arts concerts schedule on it. After that I started scrolling through what else was available to watch and found The Who live in 2013 performing Quadrophenia in its entirety in London. Why didn't I find that first!! There's an hour and a half of my life watching Billy Idol and highly trained classical musicians performing one of the best albums of all time in a completely ill conceived idea that I won't get back!!!

Rock NewsSad news kinda . Black Sabbath are calling it a day ( again ?) and so they are doing one final tour . USA of course . Not UK ! Birmingham England ! How silly doe`s that sound with a American 80`s trailer voice . Anyway to wave Ozzy and the boys off we(?) should post our fav songs or just talk about how feckin brilliant those first 5 albums and they are without doubt the greatest Rock albums ever made . So where else to start off but with one track I like that has`nt got Ozzy on it . A bloody brilliant Live War Pigs . How I would have to seen them then , it would really had blown my mind .

I always had a soft spot for this album. Probably because I was a high school kid when it came out.

Not really into Rock mash ups and celebrity guitarists etc etc . But this is pretty pretty good .
You may know the vocalist on this Badfinger cover . From Liverpool I think

But those 2 Dio/Sabbath albums were just awesome tunes to grow up with, as well as Ozzy’s stuff too! I luv old metal~

Saw Jeff twice in Manchester and missed him in Toronto. Sadly I will never see him again. This guy is amazing. A guitar tone and feel that's second to no one. Forget the playing with the teeth bit at the end. What a performance. It doesn't get any better than this.
