For all my gripes I did actually really enjoy Beatleweek this year. I thought the sound in all the venues I attended (Adelphi, Cavern, Cavern Pub) was really good. It must have been sheer bloody luxury for bands to have foldback in the Cavern pub this year! Some lead guitar players need to turn up a bit though and not expect the sound engineer to know all the time when they should be turned up. Just a personal gripe!

"Some lead guitar players need to turn up a bit though" Hahaha brilliant - I'm gonna print this off and present it to the rest of the band any time they moan about me being too loud!

Your guitar and solo's are always up in the mix and you're not too loud. Take no notice of the likes of drummers and bass players who barely achieve the title of 'musician'. You must come from the same school of guitar playing as me - the 'Never Trust A Sound Engineer To Turn Up Your Guitar Solo When Required School'.

I loved seeing old friends and making new ones. I loved Beatlejuice, Beat Tripper, Back ties, The Blue Meanies, Revolver, Nube 9, Tripper, The Fab Four, The Shakers and the Brothel Creepers. So many great bands this year. I loved the Adelphi all-nighter and the Convention. I had a great time this year... as I do every year

Good to see so many young people into The Beatles. Lots of great bands, i'd not seen Beatlejuice, Penny Ladies or Pepperland before. Roll on next year .

Tearaways as always for some variety and because they recognize that the essence of Beatleweek is that its a party.
Rockits added some variety and energy. Dublin Rockets fill some of the void with the demise of the late great Prellies. Brothel Creepers are a high energy replacement for the Beat Brothers in their younger days.
Argentine bands continue to provide a very unique perspective on the Beatles, Pampa Chillout and Aylen Secches.
Most of all though its the people who make Beatleweek and that is more than anything the reason to keep coming back.
