Is it just me . When a Tennis Player gets beat and his good lookin and I imagine not short of a bob or too starts crying and not able to touch her over priced strawberrys . Do I have any sympathy ? No I don`t . When a 80`s pop star falls on hard times and ends up selling his story to the tabloids how he`s gone through of top class drugs ,so many women he`s lost count and now he is working in a Poundstretcher . Do have any sympathy ? No I don`t . My point is that some people who have tasted the good live should love and life every minute as there is a hell of a lot of poeple who have not had a good roll of the dice and struggle to get by . As Phil Collins sang For you and me it`s another day in paradise . Well Phil maybe for you , but I`d like to take you by the hand lead you through the schools of those teachers who have a shitty pension Do I care about teachers ? Don`t get me started on my education . I've posted this in the right place this time. I think I must have been pissed (again) the last time I think this sums up exactly what you're trying to say Mr K. Very poignant and you've hit the nail firmly on the head.

Am I allowed to complain about something too?
Ringo is comming to Chile (Yay!!).
I managed to go to Paul's concert in May thanks to my older brother, but now I don't know where to get money to buy tickets...
"I'll manage someway, I can be creative", that's what I thought, but the thing is the company that sells the tickets started selling them like a week after the concert was confirmed, taking advantage of all the publicity the confirmation gave to the event, not giving me too much time, and now they runing out of tickets. I'm in a race against time here, all because of their freaking business ¬¬
Plus, they charge an extra 10%
What's worst about all these? It's harder to bring the good music to the new generations if they do all these, specially when young people studies and schedule doesn't allow them to get a job. Yes, it is easier to acces music online, but the feeling of a concert is unique, it's like the big expirience that makes you fall even more inlove. I don't know if it's Ringo or the Ticket company, but these doesn't help the good music

You have raised a VERY good point actually - I have no idea how all these booking fees, administration fees and fee fees can be justified... especially as most tickets are booked online these days!
Over here, tickets are a complete rip-off - concerts sell out almost immediately online, then within seconds tickets are are on sale at more than double the price on websites owned by the exact same company! And this practise has been going on for years - it needs investigating!

Genius .
I very rarely watch T.V. these days as I have to be blunt here but it`s 99% utter crap .
People will ask me ," what do you do then ?"
Watch listen to music , love all things Sci Fi, read books, mags, watch movies (have a large selection ) and watch footy .
Anyhow , I thought that there is is`nt anything that makes me sit up and say " That`s genius " Is it that to do with my age and I have seen and heard everything ?
The thing is I can`t possibly seen and heard everything , it`s not possible .
Is there any acts or writers or actors or whatever today that will still be talked about in 20 years time . I think not . All about opinions I suppose and if everyone was like me Roy Harper would be prime minister .
So then , I am going to put my top ten genuis list here and I hope you do to Of course we all agree on The Beatles so we can tick that box already.
Groucho Marx
Woody Allen
Robert Rankin
Spike Milligan
Clive Barker
Dennis Potter
Stephen King
Roger Waters
Patrick McGoohan
The Monty Python Team.

Science Ficton . I just love Sci Fi . Just think about it The First Man On The Moon written by this clever chap called H.G Wells in 1901 . People said it was impossible 68 years later man walked on the the moon Take Star Trek When I was a wee lad in the late 60s I watched this show and it was people flying round space with women at there side ( In the pilot episode the second in command was a women ! , but that had to be changed ) multi racial crew and even a multi- Racial kiss (which was banned ) Talking computers and those flat T.V screens and tri corders that let you communicate without the aid of wires . You can my drift Science Ficton sooner or later becomes fact So is Walt Disney coming back, are we going to finally find out what is in a black hole ( the only thing that is left that science hasn`t explained yet) Are there Aliens out there ? That is a question If you take a look at the Egyptians , I think they had a crazy idea to wind us folk up and chiseled funny lookin creatures and flying discs and heart transplants and even a helicopter 4000 years ago . Makes you think does`nt it ( or maybe not a topic popular on social networks ) Anyhow Have a look at this and give me your thoughts . Go on.

saw a documentary about him and started to read Chariots - but never made it beyond the second chapter as A Level exams took over and 10years on no idea where the book is.
It's a cool theory and makes about as much sense as a son of a carpenter turning water into wine.
plus i was watching original Battlestar Galactica repeats at the time and it fitted the plot to that.

It is all fiction but the question remains where did Von Daniken get his inspiration from? You could ask the same question to HG Wells & Aldous Huxley? PM me if you want to discuss these and other related subjects. Regards Philip Philip

Ever read Erich Von Daniken books? Yes, I have read Chariots of The Gods, was God An Astronaut? It's an amazing book. However when he later wrote The Twilight of The Gods he admitted he got a lot of theories wrong in Chariots of the Gods.

Time for a bit of a ponder , me thinks .
X Mas . Is it a bit passe . Do I like X Mas ? Like presents , and love Turkey and 2 weeks of not going to work . But I must have now lost that "Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year " Kinda handshake . Do I mean it ? I love mankind don`t get me wrong , but shoudnt we be joyfull for the rest of the year ? Do kids get the buzz of X Mas anymore ? When I was a lad , you got presents for X Mas and Birthdays and that was it . Now they get a brand new phone every month
Who knows what was last years X Mas no 1 ? No Not me either It was a national treasure at one time . Now it`s that X Factor winner who , as I myself hate all that has anything to do with that shite .
I think Greg Lake had it about right .
"The X Mas you get , you deserve "

On this day 1967 the Beatles started to record the song Mr Kite On this day 1978 A Songtress released her debut album called The Kick Inside and she is the Kate Bush I have on my avatar . Oh yeh and on this day 1962 in a north western chilly hospital in Ashton Under Lyne a certain Mr Kite was born and he once was in the Manchester Evening News for entering in a drink a yard of milk comp which was held in a pub called the Cheshire Ring . And won a medal in a five-a side comp and ran the Dukinfield Half Marathon in 1 hour and 37 mins . And his favorite dish is Hollands Meat and Potato Pie Chips and Curry. But thats enough of me I`m going to have another piece of Birthday cake . Laters Day Ja Vu ! Except I`m a bit older ( a year to be ) I have had a nice Beatles Stereo Box Set to day though .
