Whatever happened 2000 odd years ago has been lost in translation so to speak. Roscoe, you are an utter disgrace to the decent Catholic people and you only help reinforce the misguided and ill informed perception that all followers of the Catholic faith are brainwashed.
It is the abuse of religion, rather than religion itself, that is to blame for all the misery down through the centuries.
I believe God gave us all free will, to be potentially divine, or indeed potentially evil.
If God had not given us all free will, we'd all be running around in blissful ignorance, loving each other, because we'd be God's puppets.
If we all chose to be potentially divine...this could happen, just as John sang in Imagine.
But those in positions of power within all churches ( the clergy ) willfully misuse doctrine to give perceived justification to acts of war. Those who speak out and oppose those in power tend to be shunned in some way.
They ( the clergy that is ) needn't think for one moment that God is pleased with what they do.
Corruption in the Catholic Church ?
Well ain't that just a hole in the boat!!!
Yes there is corruption in the Catholic church, believe me I know.
Mind you, it was the incumbent pope at the time who got William of Orange involved at the battle of the boyne in 1690, something that most of those who perceive themselves as Protestant tend to conveniently forget.
Yep, that Pete Best infiltrator, aka beatlesattheirbest, aka Sean Phillips, perhaps he was the FAN and so therefore couldn't handle the truth.
I feel that we are all Beatles enthusiasts here and I abhor the word fan, since it is short for fanatic.
We lost John to a fanatic, and we almost lost George to a fanatic.
Fanatics are dangerous, be they religious fanatics or Beatles fanatics.
Thanks for reading this.

Pls recall that I did not begin this religious discussion-- only responded to the attack on the Church. If U don't believe it that is your own business. Yes, you did start the discussion with this remark: Extra Ecclesium Nulla Salus And it was only meant to go loose on your stupid religious beliefs and conspiracy theories that you have spread on numerous Beatle forums in the past few years. My believe is you are not even a Beatles fan. Just an ordinary spammer. If U will read more carefully, my EENS was a response to prev post.

In all the historical disputes in the Church re: Free Will v Grace, it is the Jesuits who, are the champions of the former. I would never deny your right to reject the Church. There have been exceptions but generally the Church has frowned on forced conversions. BTW-- I take alot of crap on my Catholic Forum for being a Beatle fan.
It is true that the Church teaches that people go to H who reject the Primacy of St Peter. This is what EENS means. This is really no different than what Judaix and Moors teach. All 3 of us teach that the other 2( and every body else) go to H.
In America, the first amendment protects speech that others do not like.

Hey Roscoe, I see you've omitted to put your name to any of your posts here. Not good me old china, not good at all. I'm guessing that you live in the USA, though where you live matters little. To put it politely, you have little to do teaching that Hell awaits those who reject the primacy of St Peter. St Peter was human, not a deity. You may believe what you wish but what you believe is hogwash, pure and simple. The fact that it's hogwash isn't your fault of course, you've just been cursed with blind faith. My faith upon the other hand isn't blind. This hell business has never once been preached from any priest in any pulpit I've seen in some 40+ years of attending church. As for the Battle of the Boyne see this link goireland.about.com/od/historyculture/qt/boynebattlemyth.htm And you've been given crap for being a Beatles fan on a catholic forum ? It seems to me that these so called catholics are at best pseudo intellectual. And since you choose to pass on the idea of Beatles as philosophers that's fine. How then do you explain away ( to yourself ) that there was no recorded crime in any of the American states on the night of Sunday 9th February 1964, the same night that the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan show ? They had God given talent and they used their musical skill to promote love and peace. And your associates on your other forum diss you because of this These people are fools but I know what I say will not penetrate any of their minds let alone yours. I can imagine all of you...like spoilt children...sitting there going " You're going to Hell, nah nah nah nah nah " It's pathetic and a sad reflection of the deference you give to the clergy, a clergy who don't deserve any respect, much less any deference. You may want to research a programme that was presented by Melvin Bragg concerning the role of the Churches in contemporary society. They had representatives on for the Anglican as well as the Catholic Church. And the Catholic Church dude sat there with a grin as wide as a Cheshire cat and stated that today the church was all about " mind control " Well, they'll not tell me that I can't question and challenge what I'm told. If U will read more carefully, my EENS was a response to prev post. That would be me then . My post was not an attack on religion as it may seem . A bit like A Life Of Brian it is just a of a parody on relgious history (sic) Parody maybe the wrong word . As for Arthurlee ! Your a very naughty boy !! Roscoe It saddens me that you seem hell bent coming with something you have been "taught " and not your own thoughts I would very interested to know if you born a Catholic or was you taught ? What I`m trying to put across is that you have not really grown up in this world without having to find out yourself about Life , Death and all the answers that we look for . It has been givin to you on a plate . If you born on a desert Island with no books , television , or anyway of having religion pushed on to you would you still have your beliefs you have now ? No .? I hope you can answer my questions I sincerely want to know your thoughts . Be yourself .

Crowd: Who are you?
Mandy: I'm his mother! That's who! ..... Guy: Excuse me?
Mandy: Yes?
Guy: Are you a virgin?
Mandy: I beg your pardon!?
Guy: Well, if it's not a personal question, Are you a virgin?
Mandy: "If it's not a personal question"! How much more personal can you get!? Now PISS OFF!
Guy: She is.
Crowd: Yeah. Definitely.

Apparently Mr Kite does not believe in Original Sin. You see roscoe you have done it again . That really saddens me . You are an individual for heavens (?) sake . Put that very old book down and try to think for yourself . I am not trying to say that your beliefs are wrong . What do I know I`m just a Window Maker and trying my best to get by in these hard times . But I know that what I have an opinion on something it is My opinion be it right or wrong . Original Sin . Thats a very interesting thing to say . Ok world ! Hands up who hasn`t sinned ? Did you see that roscoe Not one person on this planet put there hand up . So then a question I put to you roscoe Have you sinned ? A tough question that one , I guess you will have to dig very deep in that book of yours for that answer . Then again , you may actually have your own answer to it . Remember lying is a sin too .

Roscoe, you're a bully pure and simple.
In the bigger scheme of things you're nothing more than a cow that goes moo and is happy to consume the fodder fed to you by a clergy desparate to cling to any vestige of power over the laity.
Mr Kite, don't pay any heed to imbeciles such as Roscoe, who's real name we still don't know.
For God's sake, they even preach that a child, born within the confines of marriage, arrives with the " stain of original sin ".
To me that's incompatible with the church also stating that a child is a gift from God.
Flannel pure and simple.
As of Tuesday 1st May 2012, the Leader of the Catholic Church in Ireland, Sean Brady, is again involved in controversy.
Seemingly he failed to inform parents in 1975 that their children were at risk from a paedophile within the church.
So no one should have any faith in the leadership of the church.
I don't and I still consider myself Catholic.
My faith in Almighty God, who is above the clergy, is resolute.
So Mr Kite, ignore roscoe and his pathetic ramblings, he should know better at his age.
Continue as you are, being decent, making a living by your skill which is window making and you'll not be going too far wrong I reckon.
I see that you're from Manchester. I'm from N.I and I attend Beatle week each year. I know 3 people from Manchester, Eddie, Christine and Eugene.
Do you know them or even me ?
We're not all like that idiot Roscoe above. To me, faith is private and can be practised by the way I treat others.
Bear in mind this is the same individual ( Roscoe I mean ) who feels that the surviving Beatles own him a handsome sum of money for his tinkering with their catalogue.
As always, I'll put my name to my post.

I know that roscoe is blinded by his faith ...Or is it he has a grudge or that the only way he has to commuinicate with people is to hide behind a thing that has a big role in his life . Mine is humour So then I have give up on him ... I tried . cuddlybear . Now you a a totally different kettle of fish . You speak your mind . That is something that impresses me a lot in people . Yes I go to the Beatle weekend every year I go to the Forum meet up at the Grapes on Saturday Check out the thread . I don`t know you or your friends . But I will be there this year as ever ( Saturday ) And it would be a pleasure to meet you . I don`t know strangers They are just people I hav`nt met yet . It looks like it will be the biggest turn out ever for me and my friends from Manchester .( About 5 ) Hope I see you in August . John.

The Sacrament of Baptism is indeed an exorcism that frees one from original sin.
Democracy is founded on a denial of original sin. Man is good & therefore able to rule himself.

Roscoe, you have been brainwashed if you really believe this crap! Baptism is nothing more than a ritual usually involving some bloke in a cassock throwing water over a baby's head and making them cry. There's nothing special about the water, there is certainly nothing special about the priest and being baptised does not affect a person in the slightest. What sort of religion decrees a baby has sinned at the moment of birth. I find this sick, twisted and immoral. The church and people who believe this should repent and hang their heads in shame.

Is It just me or is our great country gone to hell . I know I`m getting on a bit and things change and when I was in my teenage years I wanted change , a free will and most of all I wanted to Rock . I did go about my lifestyle and I went to work ,went out at weekend and had a great time without causing anyone any trouble or any harm and paid my way at home and helped old people across the road . I`m not saying I was an angel . I did have the odd crazy moment but most of all I never brought harm to anyone. I was very proud of being English growing up as a kid . We had one time ruled the waves and won 2 world wars and even showed how to swing in the 60`s . Most importantly is that I showed respect to my elders and I always had manners and thanked people and even be polite to the looney on the bus ( they always seemed to sit next to me ) But today . Where to start . Kids today spend most of there time with there phone in there hands and as for respect . L.O.L. They don`t know to communicate with another human being unless they are on Facebook and have no concept of real life such as manners and they must all be on pot at the age of seven and as for role models . Katey Price ( Jorden ) and Cheryl Cole . jesus ! one has made her money from taking her clothes off and marrying retards and making a T.V. programme about them and the other apparently is a singer ! As for when they leave school By the time they have left most of them are pregnant and been with so many partners they hav`nt got a clue who the farther is and really don`t care and spend the rest of there life living off the social . A trend has set in this country that all you need is a drug or alcohol abuse and your set for life living off the working mans tax and stand outside a pub 11 o clock in the morning waiting for it open . Yes this does happen every day Some even take there prams with them . I may sound bitter . But .You the working man who goes to work every day on a poor wage and maybe just have enough to rent a movie and stay in at weekends so you can pay all the bills so that most of Englands rich bankers can still have there big bonuses after putting this country in a bigger mess than it already was . If you come out of work what help do you get from your country for working 30 odd years and paying your way ? An insult of what 25 pound a week . Alcoholics get that for breakfast . I used to be very proud of my Country . Not anymore . I just would love to just get on a plane and never come back and let the looneys take over the Asylum .

It is a dogmatic article of faith in the Catholic Church that there is an anti-christ plot to enslave the world. We live now in the Age of Apostasy & anti-popes have taken over Rome.
Rense covers Fukushima news best-- don't worry he's not Catholic or even a schismatical christian.
