Hi guys !! Having returned and just about recovered from "Beatle week" I have a question re "The Blue Angel club". On our visit to the premises on the Saturday afternoon I couldn,t envisage where excactly in the basement club room it was that The Silver Beatles would have played for their Larry Parnes audition . I can recall that the photographs taken on that occasion include all of the musicians and no where does there seem to be any impediment to the photographers view of the band ie the pillars supporting the ceiling/building that we found slightly limited our ability to see the perfomances of the Beatle tribute bands ! I don,t believe that the area of the floor where the bands were performing during "Beatle week" was the excact same spot on which the Beatles went through their paces back in 1960 . Any suggestions guys ??

No I've never been there - Nowhere Man or Mr Mustard might be able to give you more detail as they're native!

I'm sorry, I have no idea to the answer to your above question.
I've looked in a couple of my Beatle Liverpool books / archives, but unfortunately they do not state anything about the modern set-up of The Blue Angel Vs. the 1960's set-up.
If I ever meet Allan Williams sober (?) I'll ask him, failing that, I'll ask a few folk in The Cavern Pub when I pass by next time and get back to you.
