Thank you so much for answering my previous questions :-)
Mind if I ask another?
I am not thinking of those ridiculous "Paul is dead" clues but on the front of the Magical Mystery Tour LP/EP it is Paul that's dressed as a walrus, right? Why was that?

George is the rabbit, and Ringo is whatever Ringo is supposed to be!

I think Ringo is a chicken, or possibly a parrot. He appears to have a crest on his head, and definitely has a hooked beak.
And--shock of shocks-- George is not a rabbit here. Supposedly, he is a dog.
Yes, my entire world now feels unstable. *goes to lie down*
Fab Lad, I don't know why they picked the animals they did. Was that what you wanted to know?

I have never seen a parrot with a comb on its head before. The comb makes me think: chicken. But then I've never seen a green chicken before and the green makes me think: parrot. So what the hell?

I have now decided it's not a comb, it's a crest. Lots of parrots have that slender tuft of feathers on their head-- cockatoos for instance. And they all have a sharp, hooked beak, just like Ringo. A chicken would have a straight beak.
There, I have ornithologized enough for the stunning accuracy of these costumes. Now, which breed of dog is George! It has to be one that smiles.

Maybe a Beagle?
