It seems a radio group in Norway has the rights to broadcast old radio shows, which include ALL the Beatles songs. It seems legal and only happened because the shows have more talk than music - it's like a history lesson of each song. It seems Apple may have screwed up a little, refusing ITunes rights for paid downloads, as now people can (and will) get them for free. However, it will take some editing to cut out the music from the talking... but most people take free things on principle... sadly. Regardless of quality. thinksecret.biz/?p=420

but most people take free things on principle... sadly. Very true. Though I probably wouldn't download them on iTunes anyway, it always seems to happen when they can't reach an agreement. It's just asking someone else to try to find a way to fill the void. I'm probably a strange teenager in that I'm really that into buying downloads. I like to have a physical disc that I can hold onto. Something about downloads not being tangible enough. So if it's something I really like, I generally buy the CD, as I've done with all the Beatles music I've bought. If it's something like music I need to study for school or orchestra, I'm more likely to get it on iTunes. So the fact that the Beatles aren't on iTunes never bothered me that much.

Just saw that this has been cancelled - someone noticed it violated another previous agreement. Apple must be thanking their stars...!

Dunno why, but I'm strangely pleased!
