New to the board, wanted to say Hi. I was just a child in the 60s,and learned the Beatles from my aunt(who is just a few years older than me!)My taste in music runs the gamut, from early jazz recordings, classical, and of course 50s,60s and 70s pop/rock. One of my earliest memories is seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show,so I was there for the beginning at least. I look forward to chatting with you! Have a great New Year!

Hey jbnva58 - Welcome to the Forum! A splendid time is guaranteed!
Is '58 your birth year? I was born in '59, and don't really remember them much until I got an 8-track of Magical Mystery Tour back whenever. But I became a certified nutcase after I bought "Meet the Beatles" in 1973 or 74 when I was a sophomore in high school. I'm jealous that you remember the Ed Sullivan show!

Thanks for the welcome,Alexis and The End! Yes,Iwas born in '58,so I was only 5 and some change when I saw the Beatles on TV.I probably wouldnt have remembered it,except I wathced it with my aunt, who is only 6 years older than me.She,of course, was very excited about it,and that, plus all the screaming(being only 5,that was quite a mystery to me).But my memory of that is quite vivid, considering how young I was. Anyway, thanks again, look forward to chatting with you.
