Is anyone else enjoying Mal's book? I find it an enjoyable read. I'm still doing my one chapter a day, to take it all in. I should have it finished by the end of the year.

Finally got to the last chapter and very sad indeed. Another version of how Mal left this world appears. Probably the most accurate. R I P Mal.

Well we finally found out what happened to John's 1959 Hofner Club 40. John always said he sold it in Hamburg in early 1960 after he purchased his famous Ric 325. Even Andy Babiuk has it listed as being sold in his 'Beatles Gear' book. But in the last chapter of Mal's book, George Harrison visited Mal's family in 1982, after Mal died (1976), to clear up a few things. And Gary, Mal's son, went upstairs and brought down two guitars that John had given his father in the early Beatle days. One of those was the Hofner Club 40! The other was the 1964 white Vox prototype organ/guitar. George sat and played both guitars before he left.
I think it's time we met Gary Evans, Mal's son, in a very interesting interview with Ken. (btw Gary was born in 1961).
