Watching the doco I can see why Harrison left! Also check out Geoge Martin left even before Harrison did! This was Paul's baby. He wanted the Beatles to play live in Libya and George wasn't too keen on that. They wanted the Beatles to rent an ocean liner and invite their friends to sail to Libya for the event. George goes 'well who's paying for all this?' John goes, 'that's why we have Apple Corps George.' Now we can see why Apple went under!!! lol
You got Paul only rehearsing his songs and John always doing his, poor George has two and they run through them! Then he tries to add something to Paul's and Paul goes 'no I want it played like this!' A lesser man would have smacked Paul in the head with his guitar!!
They also aren't too upset that George left either. John goes 'well let's give the Players Union a call and if he doesn't come back by Tuesday we call Clapton!" Ringo gets them to all meet at his house, just the four of them, and talk things over. It doesn't go well cause John brings Yoko and Paul brings Linda.
I also watched it to see exactly when Paul's old Hofner bass was last played. Last time on film Friday Jan.3, 1969. When they come back on Monday Jan. 6th it is no where to be seen on film anymore. Paul doesn't seem to be too upset about it and never even mentions it. It isn't until decades later that he finds out it's worth millions that he wants it back and talks about it!!

Yeah. That bass going missing. You'll notice it had been refurbished as it were. I guess the pups had come loose and in addition to that being fixed he had it repainted too.
And you could feel that The Beatles had run their course. Even when the mood lightened after they got to APPLE. So it was a tiny bit surprising that they continued on (albeit on their own schedule, not a film crew's, which I'm sure would be less stressful) to record another album. Even though that 'new' tape had been found with The Beatles talking about a follow up album and singles to Abbey Road, it was just reflex actions. It was no surprise that days later, Lennon announced to the lads that he quit The Beatles.

You could see on George Martin's face when he came in there I bet he was thinking who in the hell are all these guys running around? And then when Harrison brought in his mixing machine for Magic Alex that John had brought in, Martin probably said you guys are on your own. You could see John had Yoko and he really didn't give a crap if George and Paul were fighting and Ringo was already to go by the end of the month to do his movie 'Magic Christian' so he didn't really care either. It was another one of those ideas that Paul came up with and it was like beating a dead horse, you just knew it wasn't going to succeed no matter how hard Paul tried.

I seen a commercial for it while I was watching one of the Football games a couple of weeks ago. It played here on Jan. 29th, but I didn't go. I did see 'Let It Be' when it first came out in 1969 at the movies. And let me tell you Mr. K you will be in awe!!! So get your popcorn ready because the production will be second to none and I guarantee you a splendid time!!

I'm back !
I can't really put in words how good it was. The whole experience was incredible. It was a packed house , which made it a bit more special. On the way out a young fella said to his mate. Is that the best thing that's ever happened to you ? He said . Yeh. Love , love , love loved it God bless Peter Jackson.
