You will absolutely love this!!!!!
This is Some Other Guy recorded at The Cavern, 22 August 1962 but by ONE camera!!! The only cut-away is where the film is damaged otherwise this footage is complete!

Isn't this the same as on Anthology? I remember ripping the audio for a compilation once.

Don't think so - this is the Anthology version I think:

Note these are two different performances - if you look to the archway on the right in the 2nd clip, you will notice a tall guy with glasses standing there - he is not there in the first clip!

This second one is the 'We Want Pete'- one.

The Shakers play this at The Cavern, I think they may be there again on February 2nd along with Tony Murtaugh, a regular at International Beatle Week.

I still think these two clips are from the same source. You're right Al, the tall bloke with the glasess isn't there in one of the clips, but I think, for some reason the film has been altered, because the rest of the audience seem to be there in both clips. And if you look at the movement on stage, it's identical.

It is documented on Chaz Avery's site that there was more than one performance of Some Other Guy and if you play the two clips side by side you will see some differences in the two performances. The problem is that the second clip is a composite of three performances - 2 performances of Some Other Guy and 1 performance of Kansas City - so some of the footage from the first clip, which is pretty much an un-edited performance from one fixed camera, also appears in the second clip. I don't think there has been any audience tampering in either clip. www.beatlesource.com/savage/1962/62.08.22%20cavern%202%20-%201st%20Ringo/film.html

I have now changed clip 1 - it is the same except it no longer has the time code on it.

It's definitely two different performances because in the first clip at 0:12 John steps back and to the right of the stage, he doesn't move away from the mic in the second clip.

That is an awesome video. I love watching performances of them when they were so young. I bet Paul misses those days a lot.
