Hi all, the medium to long term aim is that I post information here re: as many Beatle related events in Liverpool as possible that may otherwise escape your attention. (I promised Al I would attempt this) damn my mouth and brain after alchohol
Of course posting event information would not be limited to just me, anyone could do it. It may be that I'm unable to post - or in exreme rare instances not be aware of what is going on locally !
For instance, had I been doing this at the start of the year we could have had more info about Minger, er Ringo on top of St. George's Hall for 'The Peoples Opening' followed the night after by his appearance in out new 10,600 seated arena. Or maybe Gerry Marsden at Pacific Road; Yoko at The Bluecoat; Hard Days Night Hotel opening; Macca at Anfield - I've been lucky enough to be at all of these and more, here in the biggest celebration of a Capital of Culture ever.
The aim is to make it work like an events diary and my hope would be that people would say "Oh, I did not know that was happening". Some events would be obvious like Beatle Week or Paul popping round to mine for a cup of English tea (last Sunday in every month). He loves it, but for me it's just Another Day, to be honest I'm getting sick of listening about the divorce case, I usually shut him up by saying that Queen were the best band to play The Cavern (1971 before John Deacon Joined).
The intention is not to limit this section to just Liverpool Beatle events, but any event that is happening in the home of the fab four. When you visit I suggest you combine a few events, ie Cavern in the afternoon and a theatre show in the evening - we have more theatres, art galleries and museums than any other UK city outside London - so at any time of year, any year, there is always plenty of choice.
I can probably only draw attention to a fraction of what is going here, for all year round full information see: www.visitliverpool.com
