Interesting. I do however hate how they say they will make the LP covers like the originals when they don't, just like the 2012 stereo set. The original white LP was top opening, and all the rear covers were flip overs on the 3 edges, like the inside of this Sgt Pepper LP. Not sure why they make that claim! Same with the 2009 Stereo CD set, it took the Japanese MONO release to make the LP covers, the exact same. ***** Now saying all that, it's all about the actual music, and being on 180 gram Virgin Vinyl will be sweet.

Yeah, maybe I'm old and stuff but I just won't be looking for the 'new' mono vinyl the same as I didn't have any interest in the 'new' stereo vinyl. I got the '09 CD's and figured that the old mono vinyl was good enough for me.

Same here A. I'm content with my Original UK LPs too. My true source of music on my iTunes is plenty for me, as I can plug my iPod headphones on or use the external speaker when taking a walk, or plugging it in my Home or Car Stereo for awesome sound! One little unit does it all, without the need for a Turntable, CD Player, Cassette Player or 8-Track Player...... Ha-ha And yes I am getting old too!!!!

Funny thing about these mono LPS is that since they are remixed from analog, you can look forward to a re-re-issue of the 2012 stereo LP set, since It was digital, not analog!

Wow, the new mono LP set looks identical to the original LPs, right down to the rear flip over covers and more importantly the white LP is top opening and numbered too just like the original UK LP.

I wonder if the white LP serial numbers are a continuation of the original issues, or do they duplicate them?

No, these new ones start at #9, (coincidence???), whereas the old ones started at #000, and didn't go that high!
Perhaps someone can correct me, but I think the old ones only went as high as 5 or maybe 6 tops, (only the first year), then the following years, they stopped numbering them altogether.

My 'white' album is two million something. It's a Canadian pressing.

My 'white' album is two million something. It's a Canadian pressing. It is my understanding that Canada didn't have numbered albums, unless they were imported from the U.S. www.capitol6000.com/beatlesdiscs.html

Well more fool me! Something I should've known! Yup. The poster and pics say printed in USA but no place of manufacture on the records or the cover. Which folds completely open. #2985388

I'm sure it's still a nice LP Amadeus! P.S. I think they stopped in the high 2000000, so you might have the official "last official copy"
