How many different versions of I Am The Walrus are there? I am trying to collect them all but must I go back to the original release vinyl UK Mono EP, UK LP, US 7inch single, etc to get them all? Have they ever been release on CD? Thanks!

You can include the version on "Love" and the one on "Anthology 2". And in the bootleg world I think there are two more versions...one an attempt at a vocal-less basic track, and the other is a less developed version of the "Anthology 2" take.

There's also the version on the US vinyl album Beatles Rarities, which was released in the eighties. This had the long intro and the extra bar before "yellow matter custard".

Youtube did have 'isolated Beatles'. Which had an awesome version of Walrus on just the strings. As well as several other brilliant isolated versions of Beatles songs.
Sadly Youtube has deleted most of the isolated Beatles. However it is possible to hear isolated Beatles, dependent on you're stereo system. Just transfer the sound to just one speaker, if it works you will notice the difference.

Just found this excellent instrumental version of I Am The Walrus which has footage from the film interspersed with out=takes that i'd not seen before taken from a bootleg.extra subtitled lyrics are great too.
