According to the Beatles Gear Book, George called his red Gibson Les Paul "Lucy." This statement is credited to Mal Evans from his column in The Beatles Monthly Magazine. My question is what year and month did that article appear? Cheers, Ed
Hi bubbao and welcome to the Forum. You know how things are, Mal may have mentioned to George since the guitar was red that it reminded him of Lucy Ricardo, but whoever owns the guitar gets to name it so George gets the blame there. I was surprised when Guitar Aficionado magazine did the article on the 'George Harrison Guitar Collection' that Dhani didn't pick this guitar to talk about, but with only five guitars to pick I guess you can over look one. I hope The End has that Beatle Monthly issue I'd like to know what Mal had to say about it.
Fiendish Thingy: Thanks Bobber. I'm good thanks. Quiet on here for the last few months. I see Al has gone all 'Facebook' and is attracting new members. No bad thing. Are you going to the annual Beatleweek in Liverpool this year? Not long now 10 weeks or so. See you there?

Bobber: Not sure. It's an expensive trip for me plus I'm starting a new job around that time.

Amadeus: Hey all. Not been frequenting here very much lately. Between burying people, helping sick people and feeling crap myself, Me and Mrs. A. have been weighed under. Hoping to get a bit more out of that rut so I can focus back on the fun things I used to focus
