Of the many so called 'modern' bands, I think Oasis and Ocean Colour Scene have been blessed with the Beatles influences. I love this song and I'm sure it's something (no pun intended) that George would have been proud of. It's called 'Alibis'

Great song - I see what you mean about the George-like vocal!! What album is this from? I have their 2nd album but I haven't played it for years!

Just in case you wanted to know, 'Alibis' is from the 'B-sides and Freerides' album. Worth getting. Actually, they're all worth getting. Fabulous live band too.
