Hi There,
I am Mike, 37 years old from Holland. First of all i want to apologize for my english. I am not used to write in english, but i will do my best.
I am a huge beatle-fan for about thirthy years i think. I visit Liverpool twice now and visit all the famous beatle spots. I visited Lennons house (Mendips), McCartney`s house on Forthlin road, Both of Ringo`s houses and of course Arnold Grove. I`ve visited the Casbah Coffee club where i met Roag Best (Pete Best his younger brother), I`ve been inside the Cavern Club, The grapes, The jaccaranda, Blue angel, The hospital where John was born, Falkner street 36, Quarrybank school, Penny lane, Pier Head anyway i have seen it all. The Casbah club impressed me the most and of course when i was inside Mendips on John Lennons Bedroom. It felt like he was there in that room. And also Macca`s house was very impressive.. If you ever have the change to visit Liverpool you should do it...
Some more personal information about me, I am a sound engineer That`s what i do for a living. I run my own recording studio in Holland. One of the reasons i love the Beatles is because of their recordings. With less equipment or effect they sound awesome.. They had 4 tracks to record all of their ideas.. Today we have 32 tracks to record a band...

Hi there Porcupine and welcome to the forum.
Have you been to the Ye Cracke pub in Liverpool? That's worth a visit. I don't think it's ever changed since John was there.
I understand what you are saying about The Beatles and how good they sounded on record given that they only used 4 track but Please Please Me was actually recorded on 2-track. How mad's that!!!

Hey Mike,
Nice to know there are more Dutch fans here!
As a sound engineer, have you tried to seperate the 4 tracks? Or is that impossible due to the recordings?
Groeten!
