Great news.... A plaque commemorating Brian Epstein, has been initiated by Marie Darwin (Beatles Guide), and members of the Beatles Book Group who meet at the Cuthberts Bakehouse, Mount Pleasant, in partnership with Liverpool City Council Planning Dept and Liverpool John Moores University. The first plaque in Liverpool for Brian Epstein to be erected will be positioned at 4 Rodney Street, the birth place of Brian. The unveiling will take place on Sunday 22nd February, all welcome.

There is something wrong and rather degrading with the fact that musicians have to put on a concert and release a charity single to raise £70,000 for Brian to be honoured in Liverpool. I am convinced that without him they would not have made it. Therefore The Beatles would never have sold millions of records bringing a massive revenue into the country - which is what they received their MBE's for and Brian didn't get one of them either. It astounds me how quickly some people want to forget the past. £70,000 is nothing to Liverpool City Council. It could possibly mean backhanders and 'bonuses' have to stop for a few days.

I agree completely. Our city council is very short sighted when it comes to the history of popular music.

I notice Internationally renowned scouse psychic Derek Acorah is set to appear on the charity single... I assume he'll be channelling the spirit of Louis Armstrong as he does in this video!!!

Yes I saw that. Is he on the show too? Is he going to raise the spirit of Brian? Not exactly an inspiring line up so far.

I don't think he'll be on the show as they'll have to pay him 2 fees, one for him and another for his spirit guide Sam!
