Hello folks, I'm new here.
An odd one, this... Does anyone recall an episode of Pebble Mill, the daytime chat show, where a guy got up to sing a (light psych) pop song called -- as best as I can recall -- "Unreal Is Real." At least that was its chorus.
Now here's the rub: I seem to recall this singer (who wore Lennon type glasses) being introduced as Denis O'Bell. Anyway, I associated the name with the track, You Know My Name (Look Up The Number). The presenter made a reference to the Beatles before the performance.
Granted it's not much to go on, but I'm certain I didn't just dream this. Perhaps it was an April Fool's gag? Alas, I can found nothing about it anywhere. It would have been late eighties or early nineties.
Cheers!

I recall the Pebble Mill show but not the performance I'm afraid. Denis O'Dell was of course the Producer on A Hard Day's Night and How I Won the War ("O'Bell" was used on You Know My Name as you rightly said). I did a quick Google search and note you've posted your query on a few forums - have you had any luck?

Hi The End,
Thanks for replying. I've had no joy yet. I wonder if Dennis O'Dell had a singing career on the side?...
