Afghanistan and Iran. Two countries that have been in the media for years. Did you know that in the 60's and 70's, the music scene was heavily influenced by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd. Singers, poets and musicians modeled themselves after the Western world, things were free and liberal. The music is really really good. The time has come for the world to experience the Psychedelic sounds of Afghanistan and Iran. Check out the music here: ahangrooz.bandcamp.com/If you like the music, please join the FB Event Page and invite all your FB friends to it. They did a few Beatles covers back then too for example a very middle eastern funky version of "I Saw Her Standing There". The FB Event Page: www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=219426058086107I also wanted to say that I am a HUGE fan of The Beatles, by far, the most talented group of artists that the world has ever known. The reason I'm posting this now is because all of the classic artists of Iran and Afghanistan mention The Beatles as their single biggest influence and that's why you hear that type of sound in their music especially from the Revolver era and onward.
