While my vlog is generally geared toward obscure international action-adventure films, the latest installments feature Beatlemania inspired pop music movies from the 60's. Girls on the Beach is one of the better, but out-of-circulation beach movies from the era: The thin plot uses the Beatles as a McGuffin of sorts. It also features the Beach Boys and Lesley Gore.
The other review features my vlog partner Todd, with a look at Japan's alternate universe of Group Sounds, clearly inspired by Beatlemania (specifically by the movie "Help!") and the British Invasion: For those unfamiliar with the Group Sounds phenomenon, Todd's review serves as a very entertaining primer.

Thanks for sharing these! I am familiar with The Girls On The Beach movie but the Japanese Help-inspired film is particularly intriguing - I'd love to watch the whole thing!
