I met someone on holiday who'd actually worked with the Beatles (which was such a coincidence, me being such a big fan!) He usually worked with a band in Liverpool called The Escorts but he worked with the Beatles for a few gigs before they were very well known and he remembers it so well. He said the lads were always making eachother laugh and were very polite.. apart from John haha. He said to John before they played "John whatever you do, don't swear!" John laughed and went on stage and started swearing away, but apparently no one could hear what he was saying because of the screaming so it was okay The man said he'd tell me all his stories but left before I had a chance to see him again As I missed Beatlemania, I LOVE hearing first hand stories about the Beatles and was just wondering if anyone has any stories they've heard/experienced they would like to join me in sharing. I'd love to hear some! Thanks, Ana

Great story Ana ! My Dad bumped into them a couple of times in "swinging" London in the early Sixties - I'll post his recollections here when I get my iMac back (damn you apple!)

Sorry for the late reply, forgot my password for a while haha I absolutely love these stories, especially your shea stadium story, crazybeatle . But I think I'd just be speechless if I saw Paul in London! I might just try and go to London more often haha . Thanks "The end" I look forward to hearing them. speaking of "damn you apple" do you know why you can't get Beatles songs on Itunes? I'm quite enjoying collecting the albums though, that way I'm finding all these totally underrated songs that I love even more

do you know why you can't get Beatles songs on Itunes? I'm quite enjoying collecting the albums though, that way I'm finding all these totally underrated songs that I love even more legal differences about the name Apple that has been in and out of the court room since the 80's combined with Apple Corp & EMI believing beatle tracks worth more than the normal flat rate charged on Itunes.

Apple's iTunes now has a two-tier system and charges either 79p or 99p - I wondered whether that might have been introduced in order to appease Apple Corps/EMI. We're all still waiting though of course but at least other Apple artists are now on iTunes so we might have finally turned a corner!
