What is your most cherished/loved piece of Beatles memorabilia that you own? Let's brag here a little bit I'd really like to know what kind of wonderful items you have stowed away! I'd also like to make this a two-part question. What would be your "DREAM" item to own that is Beatles related? Would it be your favorite members guitar or drums? Would it be their Sgt. Pepper's jacket? John's wire-rimmed glasses perhaps? For me, my favorite piece of memorabilia that I own would have to be the original set of Remco 1964 dolls that my mom passed on to me. They still have their original boxes and instruments. It's wonderful enough that they are a great Beatles souvenir, but the fact that they belonged to my mother as a teenager makes them extremely sentimental to me. Now for my dream item, it would have to be Paul's bass, but if I can't have that I'll settle for his original pair of "beatle boots". Okay, your turn!

That's so sweet about your mother passing on the dolls to you. That makes them so much more special! My most prized Beatles possession is a limited edition framed lithograph copy of the "Yesterday" score with both Paul McCartney and Sir George Martin's autograph. Proceeds were for Sir Martin's charity for victims of the Montserrat Island volcano. The picture hangs over the piano in my living room and it inspires me to be creative. I'd never part with this.
But if I could own any memorabilia, it would have to be the strange necklace/medallion that John wore all the time in 1967 which I believe was auctioned off and sold to one of the dudes from Oasis. Damn!
Great questions Katie!

I've got some photos of the Beatles which were obviously taken of someone's TV set when the band were on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. I got them as part of a larger collection of memorabilia and records I bought from someone a few years ago. I know the pictures are worthless financially, but I love the idea that a fan loved the Beatles so much that they were sitting in front of their black + white TV taking photos of the screen!!! There's also a picture of the Beatles on an outdoor stage, taken from a real distance away, somewhere in the audience. Again, it has no monetary value but I love that it's an original photo taken at a Beatles concert.
My most prized item is a copy of the first ever Beatles record - the German issue of My Bonnie from 1961 in its original Polydor sleeve. I also have the first record issued under the Beatles name in the US - a white label copy of the VJ498 Please Please Me single.
My dream item would be one of their original 60s guitars - probably George's 12-string Rickenbacker.

Wow, that white label must be worth a few quid!!! Unfortunately not. A mint copy would be worth thousands maybe, but mine has a small crack in one edge of the vinyl, so I doubt it's worth much at all in money terms (it's worth a lot to me just to have it though - sad specimen that I am! )

Paul McCatney signed his autograph to the lyrics of 'Yesterday' for me in his 'Blackbird Singing' book. I also have the tickets and wristband for the 1999 Cavern gig. Thats pretty good.

I have a Poster I got at auction. Its the five beatles in Germany, John. George, Paul, Pete Best, Stuart Sutcliffe. Don't know if it would have much value. What I would like ? just about anything to do with John Lennon.

I've never been into collecting the smaller knick knack's but I have some larger more expensive things which I will never part with, including 2 genuine RIAA gold records and 4 signature sets.

Last christmas, a friend of mine got me a partly-peeled 'butcher cover'. It really isn't in the best condition, actually, it's beat to hell, and probably isn't worth much, but it's REAL!!!! AND I'S MINE!!!ALL MINE!!!!
