Wow! I LOVE this website! After taking some time to look through it as a "guest/viewer" I just knew I had to join. I have been a Beatles fan forever, okay well since I was 6 years old that is. When I was 6 my mother took me to the mall every weekend to see a great band called the "tarran brothers". I got to know them very well. They wore these nice suits, sang in british accents and treated me like gold. I quickly learned all of their catchy songs, and it wasn't long before I was singing along. Then one day my mother brought home a copy of "A Hard Day's Night" and put it in the VCR for me to watch. I remember being SOOO ANGRY!!! Here were these guys called "The Beatles" who were stealing all of the Tarran Brother's songs, trying their hardest to look like them and sound like them - and then they even had the odacity to make a movie!! I told my mother that I was going to make sure the Tarran Brothers know about this.
My mother clarified the situation for me, and after I calmed down a bit I made a bona-fide attempt to watch the movie all the way through. But an interesting thing happened to me while watching that movie that had never happened to me before. Every time "that really cute guy" started playing "And I Love Her" I got these butterflies in my stomach and felt like giggling/laughing/crying all at the same time. He quickly became the cutest thing I had ever, ever seen. I was hooked.
Now that I am 35 years old, I can honestly say that there hasn't been a day that has gone by that I haven't loved The Beatles. I have always been a country-girl, and I spend a lot of my time with my horses here on my ranch in Oklahoma. I love it here.... I have been fortunate enough to have seen Paul perform a couple of times, and I have met George's sister Louise. Ringo walked past me at Animal Kingdom in Orlando, but had a zillion security guards around him. I have no idea what he was doing there, but.. it was still kinda cool.
But I am excited to meet all of you and discuss our mutual interests, The Beatles! Thanks for reading my essay, and lastly - HELLO!!!!
