G'day Everyone,
Later on in the year I'm planning a trip to Beatles Week. While over in that part of the world I thought I might look around a few other Beatle things. Since I've started researching I have come across a lot of information and am not really sure what to do now, I didn't realise there was so much Beatle stuff about. Coming from Australia the plan was to go straight to Liverpool for Beatles Week and then I was thinking of going to Hamburg and then to Dublin for a few days (not Beatles related, my sister lives there) and then back to Liverpool to see the sites without the Beatles Week crowds and then on to London. I will have about 5 weeks to do all of this.
Mainly I am after opinions of what to do in each city.
In Liverpool besides Beatles Week there appears to be The Beatles Story, Cavern Club, Casbah Coffee Club, Paul and John's homes, Jacaranda Club, Cavern Pub, plenty of shops...What would be the best way to get around all of these places? Are there more places to visit? Would a taxi tour be the way to go? If so, which one?
In London Richard Porter's walking tours look like they go everywhere. But is Trident Studios worth a look? What about the London Beatles Store? Or any where else?
In Hamburg a visit to the Beatles Museum seems a must do but are there any tours that take in the Repperbahn district and the clubs The Beatles played in?
Sorry for all of the questions and the length of the post but after looking around the web for a while about things to do on this trip it is getting harder and harder to know what's worth doing and what isn't.
Thanks in advance, aazz.
