Any one going to the John Lennon Party at the Hard Days Night Hotel, Liverpool on Friday? Surely you are Nowhere Man?
Tickets are priced at £10 with The Beales Experience playing and cocktails on arrival.

I'm surprised you didn't know. I thought you knew these things before they actually came out! Yes I am going.

I thought you knew these things before they actually came out! Usually yeah, but the combination of not being in town much and somewhat distracted over the last fortnight means I've been out of touch. Thank goodness for beatleforum.com otherwise I would have not known anything about it - and also thanks to bf.com meant that I knew you Mr M, so I was able to come over and say hi. I also heard that The Pete Best Band played The Adelphi the same night, anyone know anything / go along?

There is another one next month at the HDNH to do with Yellow Submarine and with The Beatles Experience again. We should keep each other informed via the forum when nights like this are on. Next time we will have a beer. I knew nothing of the Pete Best band at the Adelphi.

Next time we will have a beer. Good idea. The Beatles Experience seem to have cornered the market with regard to being the house band at HDNH and good luck to them, however, if they are to get regular gigs there, they need to vary their set somewhat, unless they are simply relying on 'one-off' hotel guests / tourists to buy tickets - and therefore not care too much about the locals / regulars.

I know. They could have learned a few Lennon solo songs for the occasion other than just Imagine. They only remembered to mention his birthday right at the end of the show!

I did not feel that lucky the following morning... it was deffo a case of "Cold Turkey' for me! But yeah, you have the sun, sand, and... scenery in Espania... we are stuck with wet, miserable Liverpool, but it has it's moments. Anyway... sun, sand, and... scenery... I can get that in Crosby on a good day!
