Hi everybody, it's Gracie - and I am extremely glad I had the chance to meet (or get reacquainted with) all of you @ IBW and Mathew St Festival, and ta very much for taking good care of me whilst I was in the 'Pool... Al & Johnny *ahem* BC and Sprucy and Rob & David & Mike, thanks bunches! Stupid SIM card business aside, I had an amazing time with amazing people, the bands were wonderful, like Nube 9 & Revolver, and the atmosphere.. well, I don't have to tell you, YOU know Same time next year? Thanks again, keep in touch xx PS: bop

GRACIE! Yay! Welcome aboard the goodship beatleforum.com (so much nicer than those nasty, bitchy Queen fan ones ) T'was good to see yer again over IBW - and how oddly it all started - Andy, me and others just bumping into you outside The Phil, seems like ages ago. Fans like you are truly dedicated, crossing the the pond twice a year for festivals with yer two fave bands, Beatles and Take That... well, maybe not the last one. So, as we work towards trying to work out who put the BC in Johnny... , what does your "BOP" stand for? Beatles On Promotion?

Oooh, the secret origin of the bop... it is completely top secret, although one of the few things I can recall clearly haha And it was a strange kick of to my Liverpool stay - just running into Rob and Andy in front of the Phil (I think it was)... but I still had such an amazing time, and in lieu of Take That not being there, enjoyed the tribute act of that other band that Alan just loves... and I won't sing scaramouche It's wonderful to be here, it really is a thrill... and I do intend to stick around, see the sights and enjoy the good company... Not too much longer until next time.. is it? heheh gracie xx

the weekend starts tonite ...beatle nite round Big Als While you lot get yer plazzy instruments out tonight and pretend to be rock stars, I'll be seeing the real thing down The Cavern (no not 'The Real Thing' 1970's/80s Liverpool pop/soul combo) but real musos playing real instruments! Tonight it's 60's Music Night 7.30pm-1am, £10 on the door for anyone that can make it, all in aid of very worthwhile children's charity Red Balloon Centre, organsied by Alan, otherwise known on here as nadalpromotions. Bands include, from IBW, The Shakers and Beatelles. Also, The Kinx and Searchin'. Headline act are The Undertakers. So, wether is be a chicken to ride or Guinness to blag and drink - don't distub the neighbours too much!

Sounds like it'll be a great night for a fantastic cause - wish Alan all the best from me. It went well thanks and, considering we had no marketing support from Cavern City Tours, or local media, ie Radio Merseyside, Radio City, Liverpool Daily Post or Echo, we had a busy stream of people all night. All the bands performed really well and once again thanks to all of them for waivering thier fees and adding support - much appreciated I saw Alan (nadalpromotions) yesterday and he estimates after some band and Cavern expenses, we raised around £800, very good I think, considering lack of marketing help and support, so well done to Alan for all his hard work. There is more to come, Metal, Acoustic, and 'Mixed Bag' nights are to follow in the coming weeks at various other Liverpool live music venues, so if they can all raise that amount of money, I'm sure the great people at James Bulger House, Red Balloon Centre will be very happy.

make sure to take the old tambo with ya when you visit the cavern... I did indeed take it along . The evening featured me on tambourine; ticket sales and collection; MC (yes, I was on stage, on the mic! and bouncer... although not all at the same time!

Sod that. I think what Gracie means is next up on her UK radar is the 25th International Queen convention in Great Yarmouth next March. That's very exciting too, but I always try to squeeze in good times with good people and brew - it preps the liver well And I promised Al I wouldn't mention the Q word lol Wish I was at the Cavern right now with a pint, instead of at work in front of a comuter with endless statistics... Miss y'all
