Hey all,
Thought I better introduce myself. I'm Rhian and some of you might know me from Beatle Week, this year was my 14th. I'm usually with Alix, who's already a member here and generally have a crappy old camera.
I've been horribly slow at joining - been meaning to for a year - but have been trapped in deepest, darkest Stratford-Upon-Avon - which is great for my Shakespeare craziness and much less good for the internet.
I'm a bit of a mixed bag - love music and theatre and film and tv and books - particularly a fan of fantasy. Also fascinated by history and graduated from Liverpool Uni last year where I was studying Archaeology and Ancient History. I'd tell you more about it, but technically I'm an ancient agricultural historian - and that's only interesting in very specific circles.
Spend most of my time either working in a hotel or keeping my hands busy - mostly with drawing or writing (my first and truest love). Currently working on a couple of books - we'll see. Right now though I'm focusing on editing my photos from Beatle Week, which all should hopefully be online in a couple of days.
Nice to see so many cool people here.
Rhian

Hi Rhian! I'm sure our paths must have crossed on many occasions over the years! Great that you finally joined :-) All the best AL Don't worry Al, our paths cross all the time - we both have excellent taste in bands. Actually I think it's a case of you know me to chat to at the festival but probably don't know my name (you did comment on my Dios photos this year). Don't know about anyone else, but that happens to me all the time at BW. Not sure best way to drop into the conversation - "I know we've been talking for five years, but WHO are you?" Rhian

LOL!! Have you got photos of yourselves so I know who to say "hello" to next time? AL (the other one!) The thing is, we look NOTHING alike and yet people still use the wrong name. tend to spend most my life on the other side of the camera.

Actually, thinking about it think it might have been Rob. Yes, I know who you two are, I just don't know who is Alix and who is Rhian, so please forgive me if I get it wrong. Good to see you both being active on here and I've enjoyed reading your recent posts, some thought gone into some of those. As I said to you both early on over the last IBW, you should visit Liverpool and in particular Mathew Street "off-peak" ie, not when it's IBW - say a cold, wet, snowy(?) Monday night in January when there the likes of Jay Murray perform to a handful of folk and the bar staff!

I'll try to dig out a photo later for everyone to help you out with the classifications of the lesser spotted Alix and Rhian, if I manage to get my BW photos uploaded tonight (fingers crossed).
And completely agree about Liverpool outside of IBW - I lived in the city for 3 years - though must admit I tended not to go out in the Mathew Street area too much.

Yes, I know who you two are, I just don't know who is Alix and who is Rhian, so please forgive me if I get it wrong. we're used to it We did a October/November once where Gav Pring performed to half dozen people in the Cavern Pub, Phil Melia (who actually joined him on stage) and a couple of bar staff. Best way to freak people out at BW is when you tell them you've worn chunky knit jumpers in the Cavern Club coz its so cold in January!
