Did anyone catch The One Show on BBC1 last Thursday? (The One Show is a culture show on BBC1 in the UK). It had a nice piece about how Penny Lane was recorded and in particular how the solo on Piccollo trumpet was written and recorded. There is an interview with David Mason who played the solo and some nice footage. Most of you will know the story already but it's a good piece. If you go to this link www.bbc.co.uk/theoneshow/you can see the show and if you drag the slide bar to 14mins 30secs you can miss Zoe Ball and Giles Brandreth and just watch the Penny Lane piece.

Yes, I have heard the interview with David Mason earlier. I still don't know whether Paul was extremely focused. He seemed to piss Mason off somewhat.
