Just to let you know that I am studying with The Open University and part of the module as well as Van Gogh, Mozart, and Charles Dickens there is a section on 'The Blues' which not only relates to the likes of Bessie Smith and BB King but Led Zeppelin, The Stones and The Beatles. So have been listening to 'Can't Buy Me Love' as an example of modern musical reputation. Really enjoying it all.

Well this is interesting. Mozart's Piano Sonata's, The Beatles (Can't by Me Love) minus the chorus and Johnny Cash's (Folsom Prison Blues) all use an almost identical 12 bar structure.

I suppose you have seen this, but Howard Goodall does a great analysis of the Beatles music structure....

Yes I did Brew. What it fascinating is the link between Can't Buy Me Love and Mozart piano sonata's. Interesting part of the course.
