"The Goon Show" was the most influential British comedy show. Written mainly by Spike Milligan it has been cited as the influence of the "Monty Python" crew. John Lennon was a big fan. I agree 100%..... although a Liverpool comic thinks otherwise. What I found funny was the local residents' actions, using humour to draw attention to the problem..... and it worked, gaining national media attention. Whether it solves the problem of rats selling drugs is another question.

He was a truly multi-talented man. Amongst other things he directed operas, and wrote several books. He moved from London because his apartment became an initiative test for Royal Marines officers, and he was woken at all hours by candidates asking for his signature to prove they had found him!
