Fantastic as always,Nube 9 are the best band there and are really nice people.Felt sorry for them at Adelphi sunday night when they were made to wait 30 minutes to play because Mr.Hekle wanted to showcase the duo from Brazil because he thought they were the best discovery fot the past 25 years, call me old fashioned but not my cup of tea and they should have gone after Nube 9,I know they were not too happy, also heard Jay from Instant Karma not happy the band were not invited because a certain Mr.H. wanted something different,Instant Karma go down a storm,if it aint broke dont fix it.

Cheers all forum users for making IBW09 special and in particular big thanks to The End and Johnny BG... a little help from my friends will be friends... see what I did there? A very special thanks to Nube 9 for allowing me to join Escaban on percussion on stage for their last gig yesterday in Room One, wow, I've only ever moved empty pint glasses off that stage, to be up there was quite something, I hope I did an ok job for you, although I was very nervous and probably looked a mess... no doubt the video footage proves that, I'm scared to look! Good luck to you all for your forthcoming gigs in Madrid, perhaps one day I'll join you! Loads of memories from the last week, so much to say/write, so little time!

I can't believe that's it over for another year!! It went so quickly. Highlights were the Mark McGann show with Pepperland, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I thought he was amazing. Clube Big Beatles doing The White Album. A nice surprise to see Stevie Ricks on the Friday afternoon on the Adelphi stage dressed as Paul. Best new band were Revolver, hope to see them back next year, they are amazing for such a young band.
On another note, I bought a Yellow Submarine lava lamp, but it has a US plug on it! I know I can get a converter if i'm going to the US for my things to work over there, but can I get for the other way round?

Had a great time a Beatle Week. The highlight was probably Nube9 performing Abbey Road and Let it Be. The performances by The Cavern Beat and The Asprey were also excellent.
A big thanks to Nowhere Man, Arthur Lee, Mr Mustard, The End and El Gordo for their hospitality a the big meet up and afterwords.
Look forward to next years event

Absolutely splendid. Although I was on my own this year, I met so many lovely people and made many new friends with whom I socialised and attended events. A big shout goes out to forum members The End, Nowhere Man, Johnny (BC) Walker (he forgot his forum name 'cos he hasn't been on for several years ), Mr Kite, Mr Mustard, Maria and friend from Spain, Sprucy In The Sky (or is that Brucy!) and Hey Bulldog. It was great to see you all and we enjoyed a few beers, good conversation and lots of laughs. Thank you all for making me feel part of a wonderful community. I have lots of stories, photographs of forum members and bands which I will post on the forum during the coming weeks but of the 132 photographs I took, the one below is certainly up there with my favourites. This is AL (The End) doing his Eric Morecambe impersonation after attempting to do it about 5 times! I laughed so much that I just managed to control my bladder Get out of that Al Enjoy.

Certainly agree with Pepperman, and to add to that, Mr. H's despicable behavior for the last two songs Nube9 performed. He and that dyed-blonde twit were up on stage prancing about like a couple of fairies interfering with the band. So not only does he not have any sense of which bands are good and which ones suck, he also thinks he's an amusing character, instead of just being a sad little git.

Hi Peaches, You're the 2nd person I've heard mention about what happened during Nube 9's performance. Sadly I missed it, so could you please give us more detail about exactly what went on on-stage? Cheers AL
