Our thoughts are with the victims, many of them children, and their families. Once again, innocent people enjoying what should have been a pleasant evening, are slaughtered. Local people and businesses in Manchester [and Liverpool] rallied to help the survivors, showing the best of humanity amid the worst.

I have wanted to post all day but still cannot find the appropriate words.
Mark Radcliffe who broadcasts from Manchester for 6 music and summed it up far better than I could ever imagine.

I don't know what is happening in this World of ours. Especially when innocent children are the victims. We never had to worry about going out and having fun. Just a few months ago two young teenage girls were killed while they were enjoying a walk on a historic bridge in Delphi, Indiana! Someone killed both these young girls for no reason. They have pictures and audio of the killer taken by one of the girls, but yet he hasn't been caught after 100 days!

Manchester like Liverpool have been the place for Music, bands and concerts in the last few decades I`ve always been proud of bands that always seemed to love playing here How many times have I walked up those steps into the Manchester Arena to see most of my heros McCartney , Roger Waters , The Who , David Bowie and lost count on Rush Gigs there
This latest pointless murder of innocent children who went to see live music kinda hit more than any as it`s not only in my city but my love of Music and concerts More so these days as I have been going to Gigs as much as I can I was going to a Gig last night just around the corner from the Arena but it was sold out Would I not gone if I had a ticket ? Without question So then , I`m going to Leeds tonight to see the Artist who played Manchester last night
I could`nt really even think how the people who lost children went through that night My thoughts are with them .. Always

Poem by Ryan Williams
A grey Tuesday morning, 'neath Lancastrian skies We wake once again to wipe tears from our eyes. Forced to wear robes of weakness ad pity, As cowards attack the very heart of our city.
Like always, we'll comfort and hold one another, A Mancunian family of sisters and brothers. For a time our strut is reduced to a stagger, But make no mistake, we'll rekindle our swagger.
We'll learn how to live with another deep scar. If you think you can beat us, you don't know who we are!
We're Collyhurst, Ancoats, Moston and Sale. We're Oldham and Bury; Ashton; Rochdale.
We're Pankhurts and Turing, the Gallagher Brothers, We're Morrissey, Marr and a million others!
We're a city of workers, a city of shirkers. A city of tracksuits, and bibles and burkas.
Vegetarian, Rastafarian, Athiest, Jew.
100 red! 100% blue.
We're each of us different but never alone. In the Cosmopolitopia, we get to call 'home'.
So, come at us again, and again if you must. Time after time we'll rise from the dust. You'll never prevail - not against us...
This is Manchester, our MANCHESTER And the bees still buzz!
